I would love my own well btw.
I'm straight in at DIY fracking. It may involve a Zefal.

Not blowing you Ed and trolling are two different things. Lighten the fuck up!
C'mon man, it take a troll to know a troll.

These cartridges may be convenient, but they are not exactly eco-friendly, is it really that hard to use a pump? I would love my own well btw.
who even gets punctures these days

Eco friendly* - my arse. Convenient in case of the odd puncture... I'm certainly not suggesting that you use Co2 cartridge canisters for inflating tires and/or maintaining tire pressure on a daily basis.
*Eco-friendly really, but I roadside I reserve the right to fix a puncture as quickly and as pain free as possible.

I study philosophy. Doing my masters in modern french post-phenomenology
the plastidip aint like regular paint. You can scrape it off relatively easily. So actually I've already cleaned the bars and headset and seatpost where it went where shouldnt

Brilliant.

I usually carry a CO2 cartridge AND a mini pump, a spare tube and a few repair patches... So I can choose fast or eco-friendly depending on the situation, and no problem in case of multiple punctures during the same ride (or helping someone else).

So I woke up early today and did some fettling with gears on the CX, basically finished now.
This is nowhere near finished. But I am excited by it.
Waiting on LBS to open so I can go buy some valve extenders, and go for a ride.
Who opens at 10am these days. -

What's wrong with 2 levers?
-
• #81487
I don't know- Topeak Shuttle Levers FTW.
Also on the fixed side of things/ more of an epic current project:
Be finished by October hopefully.
Maybe sooner if I get my act together.
coldharbour brazed on some canti's onto the old GH.
Things going onto it- Some form of black on black sort of deep wheelset.
Probably SRAM force chainset with Goldtec chainring.
Bulls, and TT bars, and a set of risers with a basket for funsies.
Purple bartape.@ the end of the day I should have:
Road, CX, Tourer, Fixed.
That should be plenty, though maybe a mountain bike? -

Which defeat the point of those co2 cartridge no?

Ed, if you're going for Strava KOM's then you can't afford to waste precious seconds pumping a tyre by hand like some kind of peasant.
-

I get 100-120psi with my lezyne pressure drive, in around 140-160 strokes.
Takes a couple of minutes.
Never runs out.
co2 cartridges are for racing, silly mamils or general roadie douche baggery.

I was given a co2 cartridges and a thing, that looks like a crack pipe a few weeks ago. I'm yet to use it and see if I prefer it over a pump. What's annoying is that I can't inflate a new tube a little to fit inside a tyre.

I wish I could last 140-160 strokes!
That would certainly take longer than 2 minutes...

because th Lezyne is a screw on, I achieve this by blowing a bit of air in the tube, like a balloon.

So I was saying...
argghhh... just bought a frame... couldn't resist... as an improvement/upgrade to my daily beater/commuter, which will now be less of a beater as a consequence, so it will become a bigger deal to lock it... so then I will need a beater surely... ah! I'm such an idiot!
Picked up the frame on saturday, built most of the bike on sunday morning, and made it rideable last night just on time for the return of the rain...
Ignore / forgive the poor setting of the mudgards, on the front I miss a clip so this will be sorted at some point... at the rear, the bike has tighter clearances than the previous frame so that's the best I can do... was a touring bike, not it's an audax... I need smaller mudgards maybe and swap 25c for 23c, but that works for now so I'm happy...
I need to install the front mech still, which will be, along the brake calipers and levers, the stem and the handlebars, the only original remaining parts of that "bike"!!
Here's my new beater "deluxe"

(I had never heard of Mick Ford and could not find anything on google, so any info welcome!)Nice details... The seat cluster, pointy lugs, unusually (to me at least) cut fork crown, and sweet stronglight headset that came with it... All dropouts are campag...
http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/5390/lflz.jpgOh, I forgot to say, I did a bit of rattlecan business as well, too much surface rust for a bike I will be using in all weather...

^^ that. It's pretty easy to get the right amount of air in and I often just do this even when I have a pump.
I keep CO2 cartridges in my saddlebag along with levers, tools, patches, innertubes, & £23. It all fits neatly and I can just forget about it. #csb
It's funny that it generate this much controversy.
Maybe someone should start a campaign against laughing gas. I'm pretty sure festival goers this summer have contributed x1,000 more canisters over the summer than all the MAMILs will this year.
Anyway I've been lucky with punctures on my current road bike.... famous last words.

Wouldn't mind a black one, but there sold out
It's not a ramblin roll, it's one of these
http://www.kaptajn.cc/product/camo-seat-pack-camo-sadeltaske
It's got a spare tube, multi tool, 2 levers and a 15mm spanner in it. Can keep a mini pump in my jersey till i buy a c02 thing.
So bluuuurrrgh

I just thought that!
I'm now going to go and find that tiny pump Smallfury bought on ebay to stick in my pocket just in case.
Anyway at the moment I'm lucky if I go further than Regents Park and Hampsted so I'm sure I'll survive.

So I ...
Looks good, but still inconspicuous enough to not worry about it.
I know you said ignore the 'guards, but just to state the obvious wont they be ok once you put the bracket section on the outside as opposed to underneath? Or are they meant to go underneath?
These cartridges may be convenient, but they are not exactly eco-friendly, is it really that hard to use a pump? I would love my own well btw.
