both come in 66cm...
tempting.
can't see prices, and don't know much about the brand... anyone know anything?

Not a fan of the unicrown fork on the first one, I hope you'd be giving it crabons.
Brand seems ok but as Gabe says, don't completely trust a guy who welds his aero tubes the wrong way...

The Colossi Star Track things are a joke. They might be better with steel though.
-
• #80384
Also, track frames that are sold as good for the road too generally mean they are slack as fuck.

Hi all,
This is my new project:
Groupset will be campy chorus 11.
Wheels will be with silver hubs (or black campy record) not decided yet, silver spokes, black rims, black tubulars. I'm looking for campy omega V, but if I don't find any, I shall use classic box section.
Stem will be -17 degrees, or quill, maybe silver,
Seatpost silver or white.
White saddle and bar tape, maybe with some red details.I would appreciate your suggestions and comments.

Love the fact that you'll put a Modern Group on it, keep us informed with any progress ;)!

don't completely trust a guy who welds his aero tubes the wrong way...
You obviously missed the meeting where it was explained that some "aero" tubes are actually more aero when reversed.
-
• #80391
I think it was a seat tube.
-
• #80393
^ he made my custom roadie, so far so good

I think it was a seat tube.
Same physics. If the leading edge is a semi-circle, the flow is already fucked before it ever gets to the tail. Lots of "aero" tubes are a circle followed by a triangle, which is essentially a semicircle with a flat back as far as the flow is concerned because it is detached and never even sees the triangle unless the thickness:chord ratio is very small, way below the UCI minimum of ⅓. In that case, a triangle followed by a circle is often better.

It's not really the point if it is actually more aero or not. More that it wasnt suppose to be that way around and he let it leave the factory

• #80397
Nice frame! how are you building it up?
-
• #80398
I don't have one, I was just pointing out a frame which left the factory with the "aero" seat tube the "wrong" way round
-
• #80399
I knew that

And you think it really change something?
Omniums from Plexarice + a SG75 chainring and bullhorns back on the Gara...
Need to replace the SRAM alloy chainring bolts pronto.
