Building a cheap runabout for a (short) lady friend. Budget is £100 all in.

Picked up a Giant Bowery XS frame yesterday from Brother on here for £40:

Digged into the parts bin for the rest so technically no cost. Still missing a rear brake and 30mm of headset spacers so pretty much there. A bit of a Frankenbike but hey, that's what £100 gets you.

Anyone got any recommendations for strong/tight water bottle cages?

I bought a Tacx Dual Mount and two full bottles made the adjustable pitch bolt just go to the shallowest point no matter how tight I did it up. The bottles would bounce out at any opportunity, so I decided to send it back to Wiggle and try a different mount (Minoura).

I’ve since realised that I’m a dopey cunt and it’s the cage that makes the difference – can anyone recommend cages to use with saddle mounts? I’d rather not have to drop £90+ on dual Gorilla cages if possible.

drill a 16 spokes you have a 30 spokes
drill a 12 spokes you have a 36 spokes

The front tubeless rims have a dura ace hub and the rear tire rims is drilled....

Change saddle, stem and handle bars and get some foot retention, and you've got a fine bike for the money.
