Why not, removed the awful logos, and build it as a cheap club bike perhaps.

looks like its rattled canned a dirty white and they taped around the 531 sticker, could turn out nice with some effort

Dumbass question, but I know it has been in this thread a billion times.
But what is the best way to stop a drop lever not hooked up to a brake from rattling. Shit levers I used to tape, but I want it to all be internal. Was there a thread?

I think a search for 'biro spring' will put you in the vicinity of previous discussions.

The low will be pretty much (dare I say it) finish as of this evening. longer stem, the rotors and the sugino chain ring will have it back on the road! It's been sat in my living room for about 3 months so I'm looking forward to it being built!

my mate put a black zen on his rotors this week after a massive headache with chainring bolts. Had to drill out the original ones (don't ask) and then couldn't find anything thin enough to fit so we ended up sanding down some cheap ones from the lbs until they were narrow enough to work.
Does anyone know where you can buy rotor chain ring bolts for the track cranks? I can only find rotor road bolts online.

ooo Handma, sounds exotic

"Handma" on a bike always means it's exotic
(that said, teaser photo above does look a bit better than a tufftrax) -

This arrived today, courtesy of Brick Lane Bikes:
A Reynolds 2000 double-butted titanium tubset. OK, so this one's CP2 rather than 3Al-2.V, but it's still titanium. Time to fire up the TIG welder. I've never welded titanium before, though, so I probably ought to practice first.

IIRC ti welding requires an oxygen starved work area. You gonna DIY one? Also, seems like the BB shell is missing.

Oh dammit you little teaser! ;) looking toward to seeing this on the road!

New tings.
next, Nitto 125's 39cm (if i can get some) and Nitto stem of course, then some 75's, then upgrade the wheelset, maybe Pauls on some black or grey open pro's.
Thanks for the tip on fixing the brake! i'll give it a go at some point.
partly related with the hole club ride situation...
So for the first time in ages i went back to the place i used to volunteer at where i fix up used bikes for re-sale, and i found this frame i stripped down ages ago and was close to buying it, i thought it would be scrapped by now, but nope! not sure what it is, its got a lot of rust, but i think i can save it, pretty light weight 531 tubing, seems ideal for a road bike project, best part is, i can probably buy it for like £10
