quoted because this shouldnt go unnoticed. well jelly, rat only adds to thr character. they were soviet or some soviet republic team bikes right? (seem to remember your latvian..)
You're right - I've got this from russians. These frames were used in 1986 World Track Cycling Championships by USSR team as you can see in this video:
The frame has Russian "re-standardization", they welded additional metal plates on track ends - regular 120mm spacing was changed to 114mm....
Unfortunately week ago I noticed the frame has a small crack on seat stay so now it's going to be touched by TIG again. It gets more and more beautiful:)
Nearly related to latvians, but I'm lithuanian. -

Rossins in this white color scheme were Soviet team issue bikes in mid-80ies

Gave up fitting my 23mm Veloflex master. Got a decent deal on a Veloflex Record. So ended up with 20mm Master on the rear, and a 20mm Record on the front. Looks like the saddle needs tilting up a couple mm. Still, the fixed is back on the road. Which is great news.

Picked this up on Saturday.
Superia track frame Ishiwata 022
59 cm c-t
Dura Ace 10 Pitch components
Some ruse and scratches on the frame, but all okay.
10 mm drive train hardly used
Spokes completely rusted, but easy to rebuild the wheels. Not sure if I will leave the frame/fork as it is or repaint.
In case I restore it, I have to make replicas of the decals, which will be not that hard.Because of the brand of the bike, the age and the component choice, it may be a frame of an ex pro, e.g. the former 1978/1979 Marc Zeepcentrale team with track riders Patrick Sercu, Gary Wiggins, Danny Clark, Herman van Springel, Ferdi van den Haute, ...
First, I wanted to buy the frame set and sell the chain set.
But since the seller gave me the wheels with original hubs and sprockets and because the original Dura Ace BB-set and headset were still assembled, I'm considering to keep the parts and to complete the group set.But the hardest part may be, to find the matching Dura Ace 10 mm pitch chain.
Does anyone know such a chain for sale (except the US$ 320,- one from Portland, Oregon (U.S.) on Ebay.com) ? -

I was pretty happy running 22/20 R/F. I use a 25mm on the rear of the road bike. I reckon its pretty optimal for my weight. Tried to fit a 23mm veloflex but it simply wouldnt cooperate. Probably a bad tyre bead.It rides pretty nice, as is. No idea how long a 130g tyre is going to last on the front though. Maybe I should expliot the lightness and wheelie everywhere.

Just got a tortec cage mount thing, actually seems pretty good, surprised i haven't seen them on track frames before, looks a bit odd as it sticks out but no big deal.
Question is where to put it, hipster or practical?
