  • The Grey ano is quite dark actually. A bit of a green tinge to it though.

Just got a picture from hubjub which just seems to add up to the confusion, top to bottom: mavic cd, grey archetype, black archetype, the grey ano seems actually lighter than the mavic, and the black one doesn't seem so black black.

  • That's pretty accurate. I have the grey ones.

    Obligatory readers wives pic:

  • No - it's lovely as it is.

    That's what I thought.

It'll soon be in the classified!

  • Right,

I've just finished servicing this Pinarello which I now need to sell.

Do you think that the bike would be worth more if I turned it into a singlespeed?

Sadly it'll probably be worth more split.

It's been a while since I was keeping track on ebay, but on a bad day I'd guess complete £150-200, where as split you should be able to get; £100 (frame) + £50 (wheels) + £100 (groupset).

But SS'ing it isn't a bad idea *if *you've got the parts - cheap risers + brake levers, or just plain old road leavers, cogs and spacer / freewheel... ideally you could bodge the chainring/set. Then you can sell the shifters and F/R derailleur (you could also sell the seatpost). If you don't have the spare parts then you may just be throwing money away.

  • I was hoping something along the £350 mark...

Might hold on to it until the weather gets better...

I do have the spares to turn it into a singlespeed, shame to 'butcher' it

    grey TB14

  • ^right, my bad.

Way rad. Probably going for the black archetype and hope for the best.

  • ^right, my bad.

not necessarily, apollo posted a picture of completely different rims

slowly getting this built up. Still lacking a hangar for cantis and getting the bb threads cleaned up & bb shell faced

loving the fork-stem-bar combo. we need a side pic with a wheelset on

  • Shitty dark photo of tarck bike with new hipster bars. Waiting for spotter to take some decent photos for me.

this is exactly the type of frame that integralters work beautifully with.

£100 for a pinarello frame? Where are you doing your shopping-I need to go there!

  • Agree'd what size is it?

    I disagree with this.

I think it would sell for £300+ complete on eBay. No parts (other than the frame) are particularly sought after or valuable and postage depresses the price people will pay for your wheels.

It's a nice bike, don't put risers on it. What size is it? <<< ...as above.

  • "All Italian build?"

    "All sexy build."

    Same thing.

    Yeah man!
    what cranks you thinking?
Omniums would look sweet with the black.

  • Nah, this needs something like Campag Pista.

  • "Nah, this needs Campagnolo Pista."

Totally. Anodised black wouldn't go a miss... Will be picking one up for myself when next in SF.

  • thinking modern record pista cranks....

  • and tb14's with promax suzue disco hubs for wheels

    Nice windows

If the shifters are 8 speed then they'll be worth £80-100. Then at least £100 for the frame, £50 wheels, etc etc. Worth splitting it, in my opinion.

  • This will be my geared run around town bike. Already got a FC-6500 2x9 crankset. Downtubeshifters will stay of course. Built up so far from spare parts only. It is going to be a budget built.

this is going to be so nice! wish i could commute on something like that, but to much maintenance

  • Nice windows

Thank you very much. That is a teak conservatory you are looking at right there

  • New cranks and saddle for the Bianchi.

Strip and rattle-can laquer a shitty generic fixie frame,
Add bog standard Shimano bottom bracket, hson wheels, foam bar grips and a cheap As stem and cranks.

All made spare parts except stem and grips and chain. 20 something quid. and hopefully ideal for commuting in the rain or trips to the pub.
