to allow ease of riding to the track I'm riding 53x21 = 66.3
on track 53x16 = 87, may include a 15 in the kit bag= 93.
but not sure- and my lights are now off! -

its not that small, a 54cm frame.
But that angle makes it look huge, i think, as well as making the frame look tiny.
I mean I'm 5'10 with ape arms, and 33/34" inseam. not tiny, but not big.(spot the classic- I'm not small post)
haven't lost the sensitivity even since being a little kid. -

My new build, Brought the frame from germany(*some of you would recognise of eBay a few weeks back). So I knew the fork was bent but also the track end was bent in wards and there is a small dent on the top tube. The seller is a complete douche and a waste of space. Still got to straighten the steerer tube and it's good to build up.
End rant
Ordered some stuff awaiting delivery for and have some stuff ready to go on.
I will post progress pics.

New geared build - got fed up with my touring frame being too long for me, so traded it in and picked this up off eBay. Same groupset - mixture of Campag Veloce and Chorus, with Khamsin wheels with a few new bits and pieces - namely the Cinelli Vai XL bars and stem, Easton seatpost and C2 seat.
Only I haven't ridden it yet - for some reason the front mech doesn't reach the big ring. I'm sure I'm already running a 111mm BB, so have no idea what the problem might be. If anyone's experienced similar problems, please let me know!

Have you backed the limiter screw right off yeah?
-
• #7436
Unscrew the 'H screw' slightly.

• #7437
I'm hoping it won't be that embarrassingly simple, but will give it a try. I've just realised that it's not the same front mech as I had on the old frame - that was braze-on and this one's band-on. I may have absent-mindedly just assumed they were the same...
Thanks for the help - I'll let you know how I get on...

Turns out there was something metal wedged in the derailleur, so it couldn't move at all. All sorted now, so I can stop looking up replacement BBs and carbon cranks on eBay... Shit...
Only thing to sort out now is cutting the steerer - I'm tempted to put spacers on top just in case I have more bike fit issues. All in all though, I'm pretty chuffed with how it's turned out - right on time for some summer riding too.

This bike had been in the next door neighbours garden for about 4 years. I'd asked about it a few times, but was always told that his son was going to do it up. Until last week, much to my joy, he came round with it. I only kept the frame and bars. The tyres are new, everything else I either had, or got from mates or jumbles. Rides a treat.

It needed a black H.I.P stem!
-
• #7444
Donut, from whence did you come by that North drinks spokecard? WANT.
that's a very nice stem by the way.
-
• #7445
I designed it, Miss Socks printed it, and you can only get one by riding up to North Drinks!

Good luck skidding that Ultremo! They are the grippiest tyres I have ever ridden but also the fastest.
-
• #7447
The 40ft skid I did this afternoon tells a different story Mr. DoubeTap, they are great for skidding, but I'm gonna slap a 28 on the back and save the Ultremo.
-
• #7448
you'll says that, until you grace the Vittoria Randonneur, they skid like butter wouldn't melt.
-
• #7449
And pretty easy to fit as well.

I'm not going to pass comment on that third 700c wheel in the middle.
