I will never say a thing about bikes anymore...
I will start a sales thread and get rid of my 5 or 6 leather saddles, of which 4 are brooks...
That's all for me, I will now commute on my motorbike, where the saddle is not adjustable... -

I'm not the only one, Vesalius also have the same thing;

If they're Team Pro and/or B17, may I have first dibs?

I'm not selling my saddles if they are fitted like this, I'd rather cut them and make mudflaps out of them...

Sometime it may need to be extreme, sometime it doesn't, also here's some example in the recent Rene Herse book showing the riders with their bicycle;

Again, the distance between the height of the saddle and the the height of the bars is minimal... How can it does not hurt your "solf tissues" (or however sheldon call them) when on the drops on the Jackson or on the Longstaff?
Nice pics... btw

why does anyone still use it

what, with one shoe?
Ha!

It didn't hurt my "soft tissue" when I start riding on the drop a lots, reckon that down to saddle height rather.

Use what?

A brooks saddle? Very good question.

I will never dare posting my current project here (the Witcomb) and be confronted to the new school of bike fitting... I'm doing compromises everywhere in the name of aesthetic, super long cranks to compensate a too short seat tube, several components that are not period correct, mix of shimano and campag... I am going to get killed in the face...

It's all about friction on soft tissues...

Surely it depends on the rider? Different model, admittedly, but here's how Scherrit positioned my Brooks
-
• #73548
but let me see your cleats man
where'd he put your cleats

This.
He fitted my Swift the same position as your as well.

The correct place to fit a Brooks is in the bin.
Like I said in my earlier post, I did not adjust the saddle, Scherrit of Bike Whisperer did.
