Story of my life that.
Have similar encounter in the Surrey Hills when I was climbing and my knee hit the bar-end shifter dropping my gear to the smallest cog.
Wasn't fun.

Finally put mudguards on the pomp, love it again. Need to fettle with the rear guard at the BB.
Any suggestions on a good, strong, fairly priced rear rack? Want to strap a big box to it to carry the dog & food/water/shit around as this is my 'errands' bike.

Cheers Dom. Was supposed to be a winter beater, bright = more easily seen, but taken a while longer to get sorted. Also looks like its had some fake tanning, but actually really chuffed with it. More soon...
yep. just need to keep riding them for a few more days and if I decide to buy my own pair, get a 8cm stem
had an 'oh shit' moment earlier
on a technical descentpulling up outside the post office, when I leant into a skid and my knee clipped the bar hehe. :)
