Here's before and after shots of my plug which I got direct from charge for £300 recently as it was a an ex demo bike.
Before...
After...
It came in olive green which I wasn't a fan of so I stripped the paint firstly. I may leave it chrome but can spray it at uni if I can decide on a colour.
Off came the bars, stem, saddle, brakes and pedals to make way for something a bit more me. After riding BMX for years I feel more comfortable with a more relaxed riding position and larger pedal surface.
All thats left to do is sort some straps and a brake out so I don't kill myself straight away.Hopefully make it to trixiedix next tues!

get some power straps, work a treat on my plastics

a lot of people swear by those charge saddles.. what did you replace it with?
-

I got some nylon strapping I'm going to DIY straps and see how that goes.
The saddle is a United embroidered(BMX) one that was on sale. The charge saddle was nice but I'm so used to stubby padded BMX seats I had to change it.

staying true to your roots, nice..
I'm sure there are some people that would snap up your saddle if you fancy a bit of extra beer money

Likewise for the bars, I love that shape of bar, you want to flog them??

Yeah, it's interesting to see how different set ups are becoming what with people crossing over from other cycling backgrounds.
Sorry, sold all the parts I took off already. Still got the stem though which I'm looking to sell.

not really a current project, just added a bit of chrome
Did you get them from broken 777?
If so, DAMN YOU
If not, where didja get them and how much did they cost and does the guy who sold you them have more? :)

The sirius arrived in the post today.. Man I think I've had some LUCK with this frame. Paint is absolutely immaculate - It's been properly well looked after. And only £75 incl. shipping and seatpost (and a front and back axle the seller included just to keep everything rigid in transit!! ACE!)
Paintjob looks exactly like your fensom, henry, only sparkly purple! Can't wait to get it built up.
PS, does anyone know anything about reynolds 731? Wikipedia/sheldon are drawing blanks..

Jammy indeed, but we'll have to see how long it lasts before I get bored of it. I was considering taking a trip to ted's to get some trackends fitted and some brazeons removed, but the finish and quality of the whole shebang has dissuaded me. It stays as is, vertical dropouts/stupid clearances and all! :)

Looks sweet mate, good buy, good buy.
Vert drops = 1/2 link chain, sorted.Looking forward to seeing it out an about.
And those clearances are reason enough to leave the bike as is.P.S. I love you.
