My thought, doesn't really look like a "Tourer". I mean, when you'd say it's setup for longer distances I'd believe you, but "tourer" is a big word.
Any bike can be a tourer.
Especially if you choose to bikepack and still get away with tent, sleeping bag, inflating mattress, etc.
The biggest limitation is the tyres, as it'll need to be uncomfortably higher than 100psi to compensate.

Condor supply tfg thought? I'd rather MKS chain tugs. (Won't snarl up dropout)

Have emailed Will and TFG. Rather domes than tugs but if neither have them then tugs are fine.
-
• #64131
BLB are bound to have them.

There are no rules.
There are 160 cyclists doing a tour through France at the moment and they don't even carry their own bottles.

(and tennis ball/tea towel work better than chain tugs).
This is not even remotely true.
-
• #64135
why not? it's quicker and easier to get the perfect tension.

• #64136
work better /= quicker and easier

Tennis ball and tea towel? What?
-
• #64138
Just use your hand and your brain. It works for hundreds of track riders.

Have you used MKS chain tugs? It's a couple of seconds of twiddling an allen key and you can adjust each side independently without any risk of the axle slipping. The tennis ball thing is a joke unless you have exactly the right gap between wheel and downtube, the tea towel/newspaper wedge can easily slip sideways, and neither is an elegant solution if you have mudguards.

You play tennis, wipe your forehead with the tea towel afterward and volia; perfect tension.

Lazy bastards!

Decided not to go for brifters, but simply get a new downtube shifter. However, to solve the slippage issue, I'd love to go for new braze on shifters. Where would the almighty sages of this very forum recommend in London's famous london for adding braze ons?

Does anyone know whether Bontrager measure their bar width o-o or c-c?!
-
• #64150
I was searching that last night actually, From what i read on other forums its center-to-center.
I just ordered some of those Bontrager compacts with a 26mm clamp, i went for the 42cm,
brixton cycles or BLB might have the chrome domes
