Take the mudguard off. The weather report is optimistic!

Was gonna say.. keeping it on must be asking for it!

How long is your ride?
-
• #63380
126 miles not including the journey to get to the start.

The mudguard isn't exactly causing issue by being there. May as well leave it just in case. That's what I'm doing.

In the second sample ^, I am assuming it's the metallic lime-gold you were thinking of?
Cause (strangely enough) I think the green/gold would be outstanding on that frame, properly stunning.
The set up sounds good, but might I suggest the box profile H&Son tb14 - 23mm wide clincher rims with 25mm tyres for almost tubular ride and great grip, in the Hardox dark gray finish for class rolling on the road?
Think they would compliment the frame in style and colour really nicely.
I was thinking about the H Plus Son Archetype, some Omega V or Atlanta 1996, maybe even Rigida DP18 without the brake track..
Regarding colour, I'll strip the frame down, and then maybe try some different colour settings in photoshop..
I'll update as soon as I start sanding.. ;-) -

GASTON IN NORMAL SEATPOST SHOCKER
nice build, but trim those bars!

Changed forks on the ss. Also waiting for a new drivetrain, going back to 3/32 to save a couple grammes.
Lusting for some new wheels too, as this frame takes 130mm wheels i'm thinking of fitting some Zondas/Shamals with SS cassette kit for some real slavery.
Next up is paint and some filler action though.

Any ideas of colour?
I know the raw look is a bit over-done now, but that does really work as is.

Very nice looking bike. Was it built with track ends and 130mm OLD or have the dropouts been changed?

My light-ish tourer, will be doing a Hometown > L.E > JoG > Hometown tour, so I made a budget/lightweight tourer, it isnt as comfy as steel, but only by a small margin, I did originally have a steel build, but felt like the Dolan needed some loving.
Ugly, yes, but ask about any part on the bike and I can tell you why it is how it is (Now includes San Marco Rolls saddle);

As to colour, looking forward to any potatoe chip mock ups.

nearly done, a lot lighter now! Front end feels well heavy now though, ironically it felt easier to jump with the heavier bits on, maybe just need to get used to it
come at me Wandsworth Bridge roundabout!

From the changes you've made I'm guessing you're not going to be hitting anything too mad on it, why not get some carbon forks?
-

The new bits are easily strong enough for my skill level at the minute, if things start breaking then I can go back to bmx parts. Carbon fork would be fine if it was just for trails, never seen them on a jump bike, probably for a good reason!
A few 'sensible' changes for the DD...decided against doing the ride on the stripped SLR and also sorted a proper rear tyre and front light as a shredded Gator and Knog were just a bad idea.
On advice, I also wrapped some tape under the framebag straps to protect the paint
