Roadie built up on the idea of being lighter than a carbon bike.
Could be a lot lighter, but budget dictates.
Still got some tweaks to do once its fully finished.

Could you tell some more about that, weights etc. (kg's plz haha)
Setup would also be intersting, with those friction shifters and Sram crank. -

^^ some massive saddle to bar drop, esp considering deep bar
is that final or are you just playing? =)) -

is that final or are you just playing? =))It's not final. I haunt put pedals on so can't really dial in the fit yet. I'm keeping it high so I only mark the post where it's in the frame. Saves moving it up to reveal a ton of scratches.
Haunt weighed it properly bit it should be about 18lbs or 8 kilos.

As heavy as my carbon giant with full SRAM Force and Ksyrium ESs :/

Missing the lever boss cover so can't fit it yet - been searching for a good month with no success.

Got to say that looks lovely. Very sleek.

new grips and a new 41t chainring. 41x18 is pretty nice.

i dont understand how this will be lighter than a carbon bike. There are no weight weenie parts so it will just be the same weight as any roadie but with a steel frame. It looks like a good bike, just not very light.

well, he left the bartape and cables off. that takes few grams off straight away compared to those fancy-ass carbon bikes with tape and cables
-
• #62815
no pedals either not only weight saving but a lower q-factor too!
-
• #62816
No pedals is also both lighter and more aerodynamic

STIs are what, 250g apiece? (from memory). Down tube shifters save a fair chunk.

Have just ordered what appears to be the last 32h black rear Goldtec track in the country!
Oh well, least I got one.

Am planning on doing something very similar with mine (even though it's too big, risers mean it'll be ok), except mine will have black seatstays, chainstays and forks.
Running with risers, clipless and brakeless, first fixed, gulp!

True but that is not going to make it weigh the same as a carbon bike and its a pretty annoying way to weight save. Lower weight but at the cost of really great functionality.

Love the bike but 41:18 is a reeeeally easy gear ratio?
-

^ Thats what I was thinking. I mean, I currently run 47:18 and waiting for 49:18.

51:18 over here, 41 really seems small..
obviously what inspired sugino...
