If you routed the cable under the tape I think it's look a lot tidier and gooderer
Planning to ride at Herne Hill so wanted something I could install and remove in its entirety. I recognize this is an unusual setup, but I am used to riding on the drops and so this is a good place for the lever to sit when riding on the road.

Ah nifty. I also ride on the drops for the entirety of my ride, but have a lever on the top, aesthetically better but functionally a nuisance. I like your idea better. Shame I've just swapped out for drops and hoods

Dia Compe make them, not sure where to buy them other than tracksupermarket, but that's in Japan
got mine from TFG

if that chap made one suitable for a Garmin 705 I'd get one.
You could ask, they're done on a Rapid Prototyping Machine, and he seems to be up for custom jobs

Can I ask where you found the clamp-on brake mount for round forks?
I have a pair laying around if you want them.

It's a lot more intuitive having the computer there, if that chap made one suitable for a Garmin 705 I'd get one.
Can you not just get one of these:
I've got them on both my road bikes and they work great with my Edge 305 and CycleOps Joule.
There are loads of identical ones branded up differently, or generic ones floating about on Ebay; some very cheap, some silly expensive all for the same thing.

Thank you Gents,
Elite Ambrosio clinchers

Tough decision coming up - do I keep my Gazelle Champion Mondial frame or my Raleigh Something touring frame? I don't have the space or money to build up both.
The Gazelle (currently riding SS) can take 28c tyres with Crud guards, just about, but not a rack. I'm not planning on doing any loaded tours (moving to NZ at the end of next summer so it'll be in storage for the next five years, anyway), and if I did, I think I would prefer bikepacking anyway. Performance wise, it's a bit quicker and much more fun to ride, and it has decent brakes; it's also full 531c and looks fantastic.
The Raleigh (which I think is a Clubman with canti and rack mounts added later) can take enormous tyres, guards, and a rear rack. It's got 531 main tubes only. It's not as fun to ride, and now one of the canti-studs is loose so it'll need some money spent on it to get it riding. It's much more sensible, though, especially considering that I don't ride particularly fast.
Both would be built around a 7-speed triple drivetrain which I have been collecting. Brain says keep the Raleigh - more versatile; but heart says keep the Gazelle.

Very nice. Does he take orders?

I think so but low volume and somewhat selectively.

100% the Gazelle.
^ this is exactly what I'd use it for. Ta for the info.
