My new current project: Pinarello Asolo, year is probably late 80's early 90's
Unfortunately the frame didn't come with the fork so I installed an unbranded aluminium one. The bike is 90% italian, with athena rear mech and brake callipers,
record crankset and shifters, mirage front mech, chorus seatpost, 3ttt stem, cinelli criterium handlebar, gipiemme tecno 716 pro wheels (yeah, poor version of shamal, but
ride the same IMO and they look pretty cool).
The bike is almost finished, I need to change the bottom bracket for a 102mm record and the saddle will be replaced by an iscaselle Giro d'Italia.

My new current project: Pinarello Asolo
Nice! Colormatching rim stickers & frame! I think a white seat will finish it off, not sure if the Iscaselle Giro d'Italia would be my first choice...

Got fed up of the bad fit of my dew drop with drop bars. The geometry and leverages seemed all wrong, and would only get worse with a shorter stem to improve reach.
Stuck on some promenades as an experiment, and it actually feels SUPERB!
May turn out a little fugly, but its a good compromise as it also means I dont have to use cheapy STI's which I find awkward to shift and also I finally get to feel the true effectiveness of the disc brakes due to V brake levers.

Strong work. To replace the P-X?
I sort of want to strip my Focus back to raw and apply Tenderloin decals for the lulz.
But first I need to afford Force. -
• #59468
Yea im selling the PX frame and forks. Putting the sram and wheels from the PX on my ribble so then selling the wheels and campag athena that are on that.
Then buying that rose and selling the ultegra and buying force

Selling Ultegra to buy Force?
That's a ball ache for the sake of 200 grams isn't it?
-
• #59470
I want Sram. Nothing to do with weight
-
• #59471
Double tap or none at all.

precisely

kona
Got to say that looks a lot better and seems like a sensible solution.
Plus if you feel the need for a stretched out position you can always add tribars a la scott's bmw.

where's the fun in that?
:)
They're only on there because I've changed road shoes, and I haven't dialled in the SPD-SL cleats yet. Road pedals will be on for the next ride.
