  • Its a Planet X SL Pro Carbon frameset with Shimano 105 5600 group.
Sadly enough I'm not in the financial state to get anything better but I'll be saving to upgrade to a late Ultegra or maybe even Dura-Ace some day.

Don't put it down, it's a half decent bike. It'd be foolish to spend mega bucks on something which you'll never benefit from.
Excited to see how it finishes up, your simple white/black colour scheme sounds tastefull too. Is it just a sunny Sunday rig or for any kind of training?

  • Nought wrong with 105 either.

  • Yes, in the early 80s the two "serious " bike shops left in central london were Evans and Condor. There was a bit of a N /S split in what you rode though Evans was always more of a tourist shop. Bettina Selby brought her bikes there. Condor was always a bit intimidating .

As it happens, I have that same bike though in black with the classic Evans logo. It mightyet appear for sale.

Bargain, don't hesitated, F.W. Evans used to be like Condor by sourcing out framebuilder to built their frame in the past before it become a reseller.

Incidentally Evans is now going back to it's root; they're currently going to bring out classic steel F.W. Evans based on a combination of the original geo with modern touch (like Reynolds 631, 853 etc.), I seen some kitted out with Campag Athena.

    Here's a great example, an F.W. Evans 80's ATB.

  • muthafukin' racin' stripez on the beater

  • don't wear white!

  • Is that 'cos of the nipper? Tell me about it....

    Word!
They kind of eat into your already limited free time somewhat. And then give you illnesses on a weekly basis, so just when you think you got a window... you can't get out of bed.

  • Is that Mike Reed with him?

  • The one who banned Frankie?

  • No, the Runaround fella.

  • Lock ring on the door matt when I got home from the plumbers merchants.

Now to put it all together.

  • Now- pedal shopping.

  • Next time I need a bike built I'm heading to casa Dammit.

Did that take you an hour?

  • Looks really good N. Are you using it for the classic tmrw? I'm a try to sneak a last minute entry, what time are you thinking of starting?

  • Also this:

Why did I buy it? Can't explain. What will I do with it? Not really sure. Am I in trouble with the missus? Oh, hell yes.

  • Lol! And thats why I don't have a misses! Wait, or was it the foot odor... I forget.

  • Soon....

Thanks! Cables need sorting and the stem may need to come down the steerer somewhat.

Am I using it tomorrow? 53/39+12-23, and 20mm tyres= no, I'm not using the Klein, cross bike it will be.

I'm going to try to get there early I think, possibly quite early as Fenella will be leaving very early also.

  • Nice Klein. Stem looks long

  • Yep, it's a 130, might swap it for a 120 once I've got an idea of how it/I fit.
