Use Candy 2. Much better than Eggbeaters.

I think they're also great on a road bike. You can use the same shoes and walk like a normal person and not like you've got piles. If you don't race - use MTB pedals. Or Speedplays.

My eggbeaters just keep on working though. They're not great for long rides though.

I got some Repro Head badge bolts and fitted the Badge.... And also taped up the bars
