Of course. Unless you want to spend all your time at the back of the group, or at home on the turbo.
The MK2 version of those 'guards covers quite a lot more of the rear wheel, including shielding the front mech from the road water/salt/grit.

Finally finished the training bike and so impressed with how it feels. a mix of 1987 frame and 2011 groupset/components.
will potentially move to chorus/record after the summer.

I'm about to throw out the extra parts if you're interested, my frame is too tight for them. Also, wrap your seatstays and fork in electrical tape or similar where the mudguard attaches if you want to keep your paintwork.

Thanks to artz, I now have the seat post and this build is nearly there
Need to source a suitable seat-stay bolt and chain (thinking gold, not sure why, just gold) and then the build is done.

My new bike for pootling about, changed the bars but unsure whether it'll stay fixed or I'll put gears back on. A rack of sorts, different foot retention and a different set of cranks at some point.

New brakes: Tektro R730s', current brakes dont have a QR on which is a pain in the tits if you have to mend a puncture

Isn't there anything remotely blingy on the deep drop front? I know deep drop is for hairy tourers and audaxers but goddammit! I need something cooler.
