Nice work, one of the few road bikes with bullhorns that actually looks good.

+1, its the horizontal stem and no spacers, IMHO.

I wasn't sure about the bullhorns, I ended up chopping an inch or two off the ends so it didn't look/feel too stretched out, I've only ridden to work so far but it feels like I should have a decent position but I reckon I need some longer rides to know for sure.
I was going to spend time/money on pimping it out a bit more [powdercoating stem, seatpost etc.] but when I finally got the frame I was just too keen to get out riding, so that's what i've done.
I'm on the look out for some lighter wheels for summer and I think i'll try to track down an aero/low-spoke-count front wheel just to give it a more pimped look. Other than that there are just a few very minor changes (headset spacers are different colours, new seatpost) but really i'm just really happy to be able to "lose the attitude and just ride"

with the money spent on "pimping it out" you might aswell go the whole hog and buy a Geekhouse or something.

can't work out whether that's sarcastic because the pics are massive (i'm not good with technology) or the pics really aren't there.
I can see them.

if you want to pimp your bike in a HHSB way, I honestly think you're better off making another project bike, while using the current one as a day to day ride.
putting a very aero front wheel on a conversion will look weird.

• #5517
why you got TT bars on it?
-
• #5518
I think he brought the bike as it is and has yet to change everything.

A long long time ago I started with flipped & chopped but wanted some bars to make me a bit more aero, no point making things harder for yourself. I know it ain't perfect but i sprayed/stickered/built it. Think i got the bars & stem about 10 years ago.

@ 1968 - Interesting frameset!
What year is it from? I am intrigued by the TI colourway and carbon forks - can you tell us a frame number to date it please? -
• #5523
Off hand, no idea of the year or number, I resprayed it & stickered it up. The forks, like most of the bits have been picked up over time. No big budget parts, just a nice, smooth ride. Cue pic of sexy curvy lady!

I actually really like that bike.
