  • it was $40 in the states last I seen, can be brought via TokyoFixed (special order).

  • ^ I've ordered a pair through SJS. Dunno who would be cheaper.

Still waiting for the Nitto NEAT M106 NAS from Tokyo Fixed. They'll go on the Feather, eventually.

  • The Soma is the cheapest, if it';s $40 in the states, it's likely to be £40 here.

The Nitto are a lots more expensive isn't it?

  • Big improvement from the Create Chris.

Massive improvement, so much nicer to ride!

White wheels won't be staying, I've found some silver Mavic rims I like and have been looking at hubs. Just need to find a way of paying for them without using the credit card.

  • will clean this one up

    then list

  • bullhorns HMMMM. sounds like a good idea. alot more practical than risers and more straight forward and comfortable than drops. any specific ones reccomended or will any type do? think velosolo has zenith ones for about 20£ 42cm wide, and thefootdown says eight inch ones are good.

  • Profile Airwing's.

Good shape, cable routing, and price. Plus 26.0mm and OS clamp sizes.

I have a 26.0mm set somewhere you can borrow to try out if you want (and are London based).

There's a couple of threads on them, but non that great - the mary bar, north road, alternative bars, etc. thread somewhere in lists, is probably the best.

  • 'thefootdown' also says that Espresso wheels are good...

  • My new toy.

    in good company then!

  • lightest possible 50-80pound mtb flat pedals to be used with holdfasts?
been thinking about blackspire sub4 or nc-17 mg II magnesium. Both around 350grams/pair. No need for dh/mtb robustness as they wont be taking that kind of punishment.

  • have you looked at the easton fatboys (i think) really nice pedals but not sure of weight, they did magnesium ones though.. will have a look now.

    but they are 572g

don't think they do magnesium after all, or if they did, not any more.

Not the lightest but damn comfortable and skinny, the Kona Wah Wah pedals is the best I've used within those budget insofar, about 450g I think, not that light.

  • Laugh/Puke, then seriously consider the weight/cost/durability factorshttp://www.wiggle.co.uk/?s=mt%20ft

  • They have a point.

I think Jill Homer have similar when she did the Tour Divide race after having problem getting comfortable with clipless pedal in 2009 I think.

  • might be a squeeze to get the srap though but nuke proof electrons are only 338g

  • Hopefully within weeks will have a nice campagnolo group set!

260g with the Ti axle upgrade. £110.

Yeah, I think SJS quoted me £35 or £40 plus shipping for the Soma bars.

The M106 is the equivalent of something like £80 in Japan, so with shipping & import duty they're going to come out around £100 I think. Hence them going on the Feather (with SRAM S900s) and the Somas on the commuter (with S500s).

  • Heres my first proper build. Its a 1950's 531 FH Grubb frame. Swapped across the wheels and bars from an old conversion I got on ebay as my first fixed. Added the driveline cranks after swapping out the chain ring for something a little nicer. Was thinking about getting some track bars but the current ones are comfy so i'll probably keep them.

Still weigh more than the MKS MT FTs, at 10 times the cost.
This is if you remove the reflectors. Heh.
