  • well... you must be right then.

    #ScoblePhysics

  • good fucking work Schnitter. I hope you're putting the crazy forks on.

  • So sick! Enjoy

  • I rode the fucking thing arsewipe.

Slowly. Which isn't the best way to judge aerodynamic performance.

  • Holding a smoke wand out in front of you is tricky, Andy

  • i can see why you didn't have the dough for my buddy's moser

    Repped.

That sentence paints the most wonderful picture in my mind.

  • But you have a Pegoretti with a nodder headtube, no?

technically it's a dropped top tube instead of a head tube extension. have 1 thin spacer above headset (2mm?) and a 130 stem pointing the right way :-)

when i borrowed a Fuji 'racing' bike (as opposed to a fat gut sportive bike) still only had 1x 5mm spacer between headset/stem and a flipped down stem.
I would have to use a 10-15° stem flipped on a roubaix or other mamil type bike.

  • So...Schnitter, sell me the Merckx? ;)

  • Upgraded the Dolan with some road bars and bottle cages. Hopefully be able to clock up some decent mileage on it in around Shropshire.

  • my current project.
Thanks forumers spinto for frame and retro_di_corsa for brakes and other bits.
Only not sure about the wheels. C&C are very welcome.

    Looking great.
If you choose to change the wheels, you can sell me the front ( :

  • For Mr. C... tape took a few goes to get on well, and didn't match the Unicanitor so had to swap out... but I'm happy with it now! Thanks again...

  • ^Horrible horrible filthy sidewalls... oh the humanity...

  • gisago

  • @ chris, what saddle is this, looks awesome

  • Cheers Chris!
It's a San Marco Corsaire 313... bought it off Hilary, he has another "NOS" black leather one although last time I bought "NOS" off Hilary it was the chainring and it had oil and wear on it... ahem...

  • My track frame again. Now with lacquer!

Rather happy with the result, considering myself and a mate sprayed it the garden!

May have to paint or re-chrome (I won't try that in the garden!) the fork as it's letting the side down somewhat. Re-chroming is hella expensive though - so it will probably get a lick of paint!

    What do you reckon?

Chris that bike just keeps getting better and better.

About time it was in the bike porn thread again. Good call Tenderloin.

  • well... you must be right then.

Perhaps my description of aerodynamic might be a bit vague, when I was riding against a headwind, I didn't feel the effect, only on my body.

crosswind is nothing, didn't even budge.

annoyingly, tailwind doesn't have that much impact for some reason.

  • Well done CHris. Beauty.

  • This was finished a wee while ago but It's recently got some Look Kéo Sprints on it and a stripped Selle Italia SLR.

sorry to quote a couple of pages back, but why are you running this gorgeous frame that looks like a track frame (i cant see dropouts) with such a low gear and a brake? i find it easy to imagine without a front brake, but surely it should be used on aforementioned track? and such expensive paraphernalia on it (seatpost) doesn't fit with the low gear...

It's a P2, not a track frame. The seat post is proprietary, you have no choice with the P2/P3/P4 etc. but to run the stock Cervelo post. That brake set up would come off with a couple of Allen keys, given the hinged clamp on a cross top lever, making it ready for the track after riding to the velodrome.

That just leaves the gear, which looks soft, but maybe there's a tiny cog on the other side. With the very short slots on the P2, it might be necessary to run what amounts to a micro drive to get track and road gearing within the small tooth difference available, e.g. 44/13 would be OK for HH, 44/16 is a street gear, only needs ⅜" of axle movement.

  • This is lovely. How you finding the veloflex's? Mine didn't last long in London.
