Here it is - ready for lacquer and lug lining.
I don't think I'd line the lugs on that - it would take it that crucial step from tastefully decorated to ridiculously fussy.

Well perhaps... it has jumped quite drastically from being indistinct (and un-nickable) to purplely hipster machine in the space of a few days. The paint looked a lot darker on the swatch.
Will see how I feel when the lacquer goes on.

I've stripped and resprayed my unknown track frame cause the old paint job was appalling.
Here it is - ready for lacquer and lug lining.
Is that the frame that Wblekin (spelling?) was selling recently? If so that's a great frame, hope to see ics once finished!

Had a go on the polo-pro earlier. It's absolutely awesome, looks sweet, there's loads more clearance for a buckled wheel that there looks to be in the photos. I literally can't get over how well it works and how awesome it is. I was very sceptical about the whole project but what can I say? It works amazingly!

4130 tubing is heavy as fuck. as for buying it as cheaply as you say? bollocks.First shop I checked, 3 x 600mm long 1.25" OD 0.9mm wall 4130 tubes €26.52, add in head tube and stays in appropriate guages plus shipping to the UK from the German aerospace supply company and it's a grand total of €105.99

Some things never change!
Reading all this shit talk about the 'sacrilegious' po-lopro is hilarious! It is an abomination!
FOR SHAME!

possible yes. but itd be weaker. it would add a shitload of weight to the frameset if you wanted the same strength....
plus more welds = more labour.
Not to mention how the seattube angle would be different. . .
-
• #48039
The seat angle would be comedy but it would get your weight right over that back wheel, which is the intention right?

After having a go on it today, I can safely say that you don't need your weight any further back!

I'm more concerned about a spill from the back end, personally.

No it's not that one - it used to look like this: (with dodgy SLX sticker and fake italian name!)
-
• #48049
@murtles Aha another owner of a bike that looks like it's out if a skip, and Salvador Dali made the seattube.
The TOSSINI is fucking hilarious. now the frame looks 'classic' would you consider another fake name like 'Stan Cooper'
-
• #48050
i would consider a Dick Head or Harry Monk. maybe even an Arthur Rank.
