thank you!

OK, who wants to race?
Don't ask why but there is now a Dolan track tandem in the house.
Most of the essential parts were included. Couldn't imagine starting with only a frame.
Just had to purchase a stem and shim for the stoker. Why are real stoker stems so expensive?
With RPM's blessing I'd like to bring to HH and let anyone who wants to ride it thrash out some laps on the velodrome.
That looks like tonnes of fun! Dibs a ride on that.

I wonder how difficult it would be to ride a tandem on the back by yourself, as if you were riding no handed...

Not hard, apparently. I think you need Orang-utan arms or some bits of string to hold the bars when you set off, but after that it's just riding no handed on a long wheelbase bike. Haven't done it myself, but I know my dad has back in the day.

Even easier if the tandem is designed for it...

But impossible if it's designed wrong...

Used to be mine, Nigel 182 if you get Sturmley's dibs the stronglight's I loved those, other than that, do what you think looks best with your bikes, we don't all like them the same.

There's something wrong with modern tubular gluing techniques, every time somebody punctures on the track the tyre comes off. In the olden days, people used to try to avoid that by using Shellac, now they don't seem to be bothered.

Got my Textima back from the painter today. Really happy with the result ...

• #45273
yeah I've got the one that originally was on the frame ... no oval seattube though
as every seatpost was basically custom fitted for every frame (especially the oval ones) I doubt there are many spares
