  • I am seriously confused why people haven't figured out that this bike is totally photoshopped yet. I mean, do you think the tyres just disappear into the seat-tube?

    Twin seat tubes, innit?

  • Commuter bike just got a bit more stupid

damit! that's made me want to keep my lo pro now...

  • damit! that's made me want to keep my lo pro now...

    That one's actually a 26 rear 24 front.

    Nurseholliday's only just 5 foot.

  • Ohh cool, never seen that before, still the geometry and general look is quite similar to mine.

  • Don't listen to him. I'm actually 5 foot 1. I wear blocks on my shoes and use litter picking grabby things to extend my reach.

    Hope you're joking there..

  • Nah, he just flattened one bit of the wheel so it fits nice and close.right?

  • Just picked up a 50cm Sirius frame for the missus in Reynolds 653. Still trying to research as to whether it is any good or not but for £20 notes I reckon it'll do.
    ?

Will buy it off you (plus profit) if your not keen.

  • I believe monsta just got "scobled"?

  • here's some bad pictures

Looks amazing, I'd love to see some pictures when its finished.

  • Makes me think:

  • Finished my single speed dirt jumping budget/ish bike yesterday.

I've riden for about half an hour and can't get used to suspension, *so *weird.
If tester and ChrisMGS are reading this, cheers for your help on the build, much appreciated.

So nice ! Which frame is that ? About 10years ago a friend had an Azonic DS1 and I've always thought they looked class !

Sorry but deffo gonna keep it. Her current bike is an old 70s Raleigh made out of gas pipes so it's a serious upgrade. Just wasn't sure if 653 was just decent or really good.

  • rebuilding the city-cannondale track to a velodrome-cannondale track.
received the wheels (front: corima 4spoke, rear: zipp 440 with bladed spokes) today.
now i have to buy the tubs, glue them and then it's ready to replace the somec.

  • Hi,

Some problems to put the post ...
    The project is further down!

    Thanks

  • Love your Somec, shame that.

  • i'm not selling it, it's just a bit to small for me for the velodrome.

  • My flatmates bike that I dropped off at Armourtex for a lick of RAL 6019. Turning it into a fixé...

Just picked it up today, really nice finish, just like a brand new frame!

  • trike has sort of been assembled. The raw steel has been painted - hammerite, classy.

Everything can now be attached to the frame except for two bolts, the holes for which are slightly off line and need a little reaming.

    here's some bad pictures

you can see the frame a little better in this one, if you ignore the mess and the washing. This was done in our one bed flat so I couldn't quite get it all in shot.

and the brake mounts for the front wheels

I just need a little spare time to install a ground anchor out front and I'll be able to add the box.

will it be something like this.....

  • bit late on this, but that Surly Troll a few pages back is ace. well done.

  • So nice ! Which frame is that ? About 10years ago a friend had an Azonic DS1 and I've always thought they looked class !

Thanks, it's an azonic evolution frame.
The DS1 looks pretty cool after a google, didn't know about that frame cheers.

  • As I can't quite find enough forum pages to post this on I thought it apt to place here.

My Surly Long Haul Trucker. Respray at Armourtex from Blue. Notable parts include XT FD and RD, SON Delux front Dynohub, Whyte Industries rear hub, Surly Nice Front rack, Thomson Lay Seat post, VO saddle to name a few.

    In a word: heavy shit.
