no it doesn't...
I must have been misinformed, I was told that anodizing forms over time which gives previously polished looking aluminium a cloudy look. My bad.

mdcc tester - ha! ok you got me with that one
Malaysian - that's oxidising, you were almost there though.

I will be having words...!
So please, what is the process of anodizing?

Leaving aluminium out in the rain does seem to place it in the passivation zone on the Pourbaix diagram

Very nice.
Owned it a few years ago.
Looks to still be in great condition.

Yep! No dents or dings. The wheels don't actually belong to me so thats the first thing I'm going to change. Holding out til TFG get those super lo-pro H+'s. All the aesthetics of tubs with the convenience of clinchers.

Had a few requests for some photos of my Colnago. It is getting there - now fitted with some rather nice NOS 6500 SPD pedals (which take MTB SPD cleats). Unfortunately they are scratched after one 30 mile ride, but that's just going to get worse, what can you do. They have an awesome little tension dial.
I'm currently struggling with tyres. Have decided the Vredstein Tricomp's are not for me, and black and red is clearly the wrong colour.
So it's going to be Maxxis Refuses, probably in black, maybe in 'aqua', 'sky blue' or 'blue' to coordinate with the blue bits in the paintwork (it used to have blue and black tyres, see bottom pic, and that would match the logo sections on the seat/down tubes). But I'm just thinking black goes with everything really. Plus they'd be cheaper...

Yeah, they won't look pristine for long, but I've had the A525 and DuraAce versions from new (i.e. over 20 years), and they are still going strong.

Plus I didn't have to buy another pair of Sidis, and they were £40!

Terrible picture, but coming along
Added vittoria evo corsa cx tyres, michelin aircomp tubes, stronglight titanium BB, fsa carbon pista cranks. Veloplugs don't fit :-(
Still need, lighter forks, bars, saddle, pedals and chain. Probably going to be more like 6kg than the 5.5kg I was aiming for, but with good strong components, no weight weenie bits.

how much will it come to in the end?

You mean it happens instantaneously? I need to talk to my anodising guys about their delivery times in that case.
