What a shame, shows I don't read the forum enough anymore. Who's riding it now Maxy?

I'm confused. I measured the tyre on my shopper bike and it is 20 inches in diameter. It has an imprint on the wall which says Michelin bla bla 20 x 1 4/6.
But when I order a Schwalbe 20 inch from SJS it's much smaller. I actually measured it and it is only 18 inches in diameter. What gives?

why spend on carbon and then get a cheap, average wheelset? Not really understanding that build
-
• #38217
It still has the same shit geo like in the sales thread.
There's no need to start an own thread, FFS - just chuck it into the Current projects (or rather Readers' Wives)

Maybe take a link out of the chain to tighten it up a bit?

Er, because I like the appearance of carbon fibre, is that OK with you?
The only C/F bits I had to buy were the stem (£10) & the saddle (£30) so hardly going to break the bank.

Wow such a friendly forum.

Mark, don't let the comments about your bike fool you, we are a friendly forum.
Lots of people have done exactly as you have, which is why there is a current projects thread for you to get a gentler introduction into what the forum massive may think of your bike. You like your bike, you've just spent god knows how long putting it together, but that doesn't mean that everyone on the forum will agree, and posting it up in a thread all of its own is just asking for comments which may not be to your liking, no matter how proud you are of what you have built.Post it up in current projects if you haven't done so already and welcome to the forum..

you shouldn't be in the nursery, so you should have no problems it may be the size and quantity of your photo's.
try again, with just a couple of photo's and see what happens.
If that doesn't work, then when hippy gets back into mergathon mode it will be rolled into it no doubt. -
• #38224
Is Corny the nicest person on the forum? I think so.
Is this build for your turbo trainer? That's cool.
Enjoy your new bike Mark Elvin.

Fair Do's, are you going to de sticker the ultimate power DP18s? I guess the carbon thing is all about weight to strength ratio, but those wheels are heavy. I know cause a have a set.
Got a set of hand built open pros and they are schweeeeeet.
Anyway, opinion sought on bike, opinion given. I have not posted my bikes cause they're nothing fancy and a bit shit plus don't feel the need for comments. Just ride the fooker!
