It's not my project, but I just found this on WW.
A Stripped Time VXR with internally wired Shimano Di2. Seriously impressive stuff!
Haven't finished reading it all, but I think this is the finished product:
The guy comes across really well. Definately worth a read.

Not my build nor my business, but for such a non-budget set-up, why
not splashing some of your cash moneys on a better Headset? And which BB are you going for, out of curiosity, please? -

I love the fact you have a Thomson's Barber Shop.
Never seen one before... what's the diameter? Is it laidback? ;PDon't worry, my coat is on...

Really?
Record hubs are lovely. But they dont come in the sort of low drilling count you'd likely be looking at for such a deep rim.
Just my opinion.
Was able to fetch some 32h rims

And which BB are you going for, out of curiosity, please?Hi, no worries, it's the pricier LV1500 NJS one, which I had left over from another project, it's nothing top of the range obviously, but decent quality as far as I've heard. Not sure about BB yet, but was thinking of Sugino 75 or Phil. Any other recommendations always welcome

Get a Phil or Campagnolo Centaur BB.
Sell the rubbish Tange headset and buy a Chris King.

It's not rubbish, I had one and found it to be decent,... but for someone going for 120 quid rims,
thinking of a Phil BB and whatnot, I'd get my priorities straight.
But there you are, I prioritize BB and Headset over everything else.*Obviously these are my priorities.
;) Good Build.

Cheers for the comments guys, take your points. I'll probs get it ready for the road first, with the Tange and then see how I go, a Chris King would definitely top it off. Saving for Phil hubs from Hubjub at the mo too. Not sure on seatpost yet, but would be dangerous to kick off another seatpost debate on here!

I think he meant, why go for the additional stiffness and weight of 60mm rims if you're going to use that many spokes?
-
• #37793
Just for looks really ;). But it will save some weight though, Aksiums aren't the lightest wheels out there. The bike as it is now is 6,8 kg, barely legal.
Besides, loosing a few kilos of fat is cheaper ;)
