It's all gravy anyway, you pay a price if that's what you think something is worth, not what someone else paid for it. That's how retail works.

Just bought a road frame.
After determining that I needed something lightweight, comfortable, and a good climber.
I bought a heavy, stiff, sprinters frame.Should be fun.

Bit of a misnomer that. Hilary prices up frames sky high. £15 frames from a cycle jumble for £80-100.
Well no one is forcing you to buy from him. You can pay for the fuel money and spend your own time going to and browsing at bike fairs and then coming back and sorting everything out yourself OR you can spend a little (and I do mean a little) extra and buy a frame off Hilary without any of that faff and it'll arrive at your door in a few days. He's putting the hours in to gain that markup, and rightly so.

BMC SLX01 Racemaster, the 2009 model.
Managed to pick up frame, forks, headset, and seatpost, new, for a good price, and could'nt resist it.This one, in this size (although I'd run a 100mm stem).
I've already built a 1.35g, 48mm deep crabon wheelset.
I'll add Easton EA90 stem, and EC90 SLX3 bars.
A SLR saddle (yellow of course), and
a campag chorus 11 speed groupset.Hopefully wont be too far over 7kg.
The fork might need an upgrade at some point though.

Yeah, I was considering getting rid of my BMC...Managed to pick up a pair of EC90 SLX forks for it to lighten it up a bit...I assume that has an alloy steerer too?

Exactly.

I'd rather see pictures of people's wives than these bikes TBH. At least there can be art in the human form, or even some interesting anatomical possibilities.

So here it is.
Is it now?

It's slightly distressing that I always need to surf asian sites, to find a picture of a particular frame in my size.

Nice paint skills hoops - thought the trial you did a couple of pages back looked top notch
