753 must never be brazed. Always soldered with silver. Just in case you order tubing set from Ebay.
i thought 753 was the same tubing as 653 but finished with a different heat treatment, soldered with silver and only allowed to be made by licensed reynolds frame builders.
although after i just typed that out, i just realized your statement is still true.
duuuurrrr (slow start today)

Overheating 753 through traditional brazing causes it to become brittle.
You can get a 753 sticker on ebay for a few quid also.

Yeah sorry, I just use brazing as a term for any of those processes, and I know that traditional brazing temperatures ruin 753...
That's why I asked, as I'm guessing it would need a builder experienced in 753 to do the job, and would have thought it would be more hassle than it would be worth if you already had horizontal drops. -

Using butane + oxygen + silver solder is safer because the temperature is not so aggressive as
oxyacetylene mix. Using the latter, you really need to pay attention to how hot it gets. Using the former is also tricky cos you tent to blow the solder away from the joint!silver melts at a slight red glow, anything higher begins to ruin 753.
that's why it's so tricky.

You lots are fucker.
some of you planted a seeds of doubt in my mind, so much that it now grew into a trees worrying that the bike will be completely unsuitable for a mere singletrack.
I've took it out down to Wimbledon Common, the common isn't exactly a great place for singletrack, but descending down the muddy horse trail was a lots of fun, i've forgotting how much fun it is going off-road, the rear Fat Frank handle surprisingly well despite being a bit slick.
61gi kill on the ascend though.

Most bikes are fine for a bit of single track, but not going across Yorkshire!
And not surprised 61GI kills you on that tank. I am using 57GI on an 8.5kg cross bike.

Should've been arsed to install the 20t cog, but decided it's not worth doing just to pop round to the Common.

I don't, the last bike prior to that one got stolen, and the stolen bike replaced the old dutch bike that I brought on a whim just to have something to get around.

It pains me to jump on the 'Scobleism' bandwagon, but that is brilliant. Has a resounding ring to it.
