3 posts from shins on this page. Woah. My face has truly been touched.
The proverbial "angle of the dangle" is throwing things off. iPhone + narrow kitchen = mysterious bottom bracket confusion.

Ray is clearly done with work for the day. This is the closest we will come to the classic "Ray's bored so here are 10 threads" we used to experience. Hits from those days included:
I'm gonna do fuck all work today
Fridays piss take thread: ≠ (does not equal)
[Right now!](http://www.lfgss.com/thread9347.html)
I just googled my forum name...
Poll: Inches or mm
Linguine or spaggetti - pls read
and many more!

photo.JPG by monomaniac(tom), on Flickram gonna swap the promenade bars for the rear, and the priest bars up front then add honey brooks and tidy it up generally - try and source a matching crank for the front and the same with the pedals and we're all good! i am in love... must resist selling it as it takes up a lot of space in a 1 bed flat with 6 bikes already

morobecane tandem to amuse me and the missus (not josh there on the back) this winter

I love the Cinelli XA, just put the bartape, black Fizik. Shweet!
are the tubes welded and then smoothed down ? or is it a gray paint/powdercoat over fillet (very minimal fillet) ?
-
• #34186
^ its been clear coated, so I'm guessing just really good welding.

We've asked ourselves that same question, at Armourtex when I picked it up. It has to be welded to some other sort of brazing, because the sandblasting would leave anything uncovered.
And this:hugo7

Coming along slowly but surely :D
Parts list on its way
NS Bikes Quark stem
Octane One Chemical Bar
28" Blue 3" Rise in bluegusset pigmy 3 cranks 165mm
Mankind internal headset in blue
two Kool chains
G-sport marmoset front hub in 14mm
Odyssey Twisted PC Limited Edition Glow-in-the-Dark Pedals (green in the day pink in the night)
Tree splined chain ring in 36tooth
At last I will have a bike that wont fall apart.
And before anyone mentions me having a disk I am obviously rebuilding the front wheel as soon as my hub comes in the post.

Fort Track 7005 w/ Makino NJS fork off on its way to the powdercoaters...
Picked it up yesterday and now it looks like this...
Steerer will need a trim once I get a headset in there and probably a rethread too but it's going to look super nice, shit phone pics do not do it justice!
Colour is RAL 7016 w/ pearlescent rainbow sparkle... I'm going to get some British Racing Green enamel model paint and paint in the accents on the forks to match the saddle ( Chopped, bullnosed and mangled green Brooks B17, not as tidy as Skully's work but I'm happy with it and it's supremely comfy!)...
What do we reckon?

You realise when you cut the saddle, you should leave a bit of leather to tie both end together underneath?
a la this;

two Kool chains
Am I missing something obvious?

Yes Edsy I know, my knife hand got a little bit carried away on me unfortunately... I've ridden it a good bit though and it seems ok so I'll see how it fares...

I have been wanting to build myself a single speed for a while and finally got hold of a nice frame and forks last week.
It looked like this last week

And as of last night it now looks like this

I'm quite happy with the outcome of it, its not 100% perfect as the rear wheel needs re-dishing so that the chain will be straight and it wont be so noisey when its ridden.

Ed will be along shortly to tell you that your bike is too big.
In this instance, he will be correct.
-
• #34197
The chain is tight, the shop is going to move the hub across somehow so that the freewheel is more inline with the crank and re-dish the wheel so it sits right.

I'm not going to be a hater and pass comment on how your frame is obviously too small for you or not set up correctly AT ALL, nor will I mention the fact that you have no foot retention on your bike which, regardless of argumentative types attempting to say otherwise, is a fail...
I will however draw your attention to the world champ stripe decals that were originally on your frame and implore you to restore them to the frame, they look awesome!! Also the fork would look a lot nicer chromed or painted to match the frame...

Also, you need another brake.
BB looks on the low side... or is it me?
