To do:
- Half link
- Fixed instead of SS
- Replace bartape
- Replace rear HSON with Corima (rebuild with trackhub)
- Replace saddle (Regal ?)
Replace cranks, brake and seatpost with something period-correct.
Not sure about destickering the Corima, although it would look better.
Looks like you need adjustable chain stays as well.

I don't really get your point?

Looks like the dropout are (semi) vertical. Or am I wrong?
-
• #33730
They're semi indeed, so that's why I can work with a halflink.

the tyres are Grand Bois, 30c, very light, roll smoothly and super comfortable (not exactly perfect for LFL with the lack of protection), and they're only with gumwall, black would look fairly generic and dull IMHO.
I have the bar tape ready but need to wait till I ride it properly to find out if the stem length is right.
I will use both cotton and cork tape on it, the cork tape going on first, and then the cotton tape wrap on top of the cork, I like the feel of cotton tape, but didn't like the lack of cushioning it give, this is the best way to get the best of both world.

The problem is with downtube shifters is they suck compared to ergos/sti when actually riding the bike rather than just looking at it

That Lloyd is stupidly good, when I look at it I want to ride it.

It's not so much a project now it's finished but it's been underway for a while. Anyway, it's a Kierin bike, except for the tyres and for road use it'll have a brake added. Skidding tubs is just too expensive.

^That looks fun in the drops, you must be a flexible fucker. I mean I'm presuming you will be riding mostly in the drops as thats where the grips are

Samson is nice, super agro position though.. do those bars sit below the top of the wheel?
-
• #33744
It's a sit-down-and-knees bike.
I'll get my coat.

• #33746
Hello. Nice bike. What bars?
Many thanks. There the original ones from the bike when I found it in my Grandad's garage, Raleigh I think about 51cm wide with integrated stem.
-
• #33747
ASpicer, you should get some VO mudguard to complete the package.

• #33748
new raleigh dyna-tech pro frame than i'm waiting to complete with some campagnolo parts that i've collected... my homage to the early 90's.

Nah, I'll ride on the tops in track mitts - it's what I do now and it works fine.
My daily bike is a bit more forgiving- that's just for fun.
doesn't really count as a "project" although I did strip and clean the BB and will be getting new grips and probably lowering the saddle
