Since then, I've changed to a Cinelli Grammo stem and Dean Ti seat post, in addition to today's brake lever swap.Ti cranks / spider?

Ti cranks / spider?
Who made these (Very similar to a well known BMX brand)?
Ti cranks, alloy spider. Made by a now defunct workshop in California called CQP, Cook's Quality Products, no relation to Cook Bros. The axle is also Ti, and the bearings are 72mm apart (outside to outside), compared with about 50mm on a normal internal cartridge BB. About 500g for the cranks and BB, <650g including spider and 49t 3/32 TA ring.

you know you have too many projects when you go into your LBS and they shake their heads and say "not another one"

Sorry never noticed the description at the top of the gallery. V. interesting though. Its funny that they weigh less than brand new 7710's. Progress - what progress?!

But brand new 7710s are only about £270 now for cranks and BB, but those CQP ones were >£500 in 1993, so inflation adjusted much more expensive than THM Calviculas are now, and Claviculas are at least 100g lighter than my old Ti cranks, and have a large diameter axle for extra stiffness. There has been progress, you just need to compare like with like.

Party is a noun not a verb ...
"I like to have parties" is English. "I like to party" is pure Doucheish.
I might be being stupid, but the would the word party used as a verb be spelled "partie" ?

That's a beauty.
I still well up a bit when I see my poor old Moser sat in the loft, waiting to be freecycled. Sniff.

The headtube has been rounded so you have to adjust the headset on a daily basis.

That Moser is lovely - well done.
Some advice needed - following on from my questions from this page
I'm about to buy these fsa cranks from Planet x they just seem too good an offer to pass up.
They'll be for my Dawes, which is going to be an allrounder. Singlespeed crossish play thing first, then probably gears, keeping the options open for touring.
My problem is I'm still umming and ahing over whether to get a road or a mtb tripple.
As the cranks are 104bcd, so the largest chainring I think I can get is 48T. If I get a 12-27t cassett then the highest I'd be able to go is 107 gear inches. Is that enough of a top end? - I guess 21.8 is low enough?
The other option would be an MTB cassett like a 11-34t, which gives 116.8 to 18.4 gi's. My concern with this is whether it causes problems if I want to use sti shifters?
All suggestions welcome.

I've been looking for a frame i could build a polo bike with, as the guys down at cranks in brigthon keep trying to recruit new people, and looks like a laugh, if you did get round to freecycling it i'd be well interested.

Oh fuck, another one.
got an emmelle ladies bike last night for the chrome forks, and long drop front brake. I look at it and think a coat of paint on the frame and a proper service that would make a nice bike for someone.
Photos to follow. Still haven't touched the mixte frame as i'd like to give it to someone special. I am getting to attached to these things.
