just got chatting to a fella on belfast gumtree when I was looking some wheels there, mentioned if he ever came across any decent frames. got this back.

I think this may be some kind of elaborate frame based honeytrap as it sounds too good to be true lol

It is in Belfast, frame are two a penny there than in London.

oddly enough ed they are harder to find here, all those ebay "pick up only" and gumtree finds are pretty slim on the ground, Literally on gumtree in six months there has been one rourke frame and a david lloyd bike for £250.

New road bikes go for good money but I have a sinking feeling too that a lot of people put no value on older frames so it just goes to the dump :(

it's a little worrying to have a fixed wheel bicycle for someone who never really learnt to ride a bicycle!

I can't see any point in confusing an absolute novice with a freewheel if they're contemplating going fixed later.

@ Nahguavkire: get some pictures of the fort up! i really want to see it as a new member of dublin's fort club.

Frame: £20, Forks: £5, Saddle: £5, Headset: £14, Stem: £3.50, Seatclamp: 2.50, Brake: £3.20, Seatpost: £6.51, BB: free.
I know they aren't jumping forks but for £5 i'm going to give them ago.

after a bit of noseying turns out "Gordons" made road racing frames in the 1950's about 10 miles away from me in reynolds 531. WANT. lol

He however may be Belfasts answer to fred west and is luring me in and I'll end up as part of his basement floor.

It's surprising what a collection you can acquire if you get old and never throw anything away. My future inheritance includes a pre-war Bates, a 1948 Rotrax, 1950ish Hobbs, 1967ish fillet brazed Holdsworth etc.
