My new bike... a just-finished rather than a current project, and not fixed or singlespeed, but it has an eccentric bottom bracket shell so by my rules it's allowed in here.
I just took it out for its first ever off-road ride and fell off into a gorse bush.
Thanks to Scott for putting it together for me.

Yeah I know Ed, but I've always wanted one and this came up cheap.
I didn't think dinosaur exist nowadays.

Resprayed but still needs lacquered, the frame was a total rusted mess when I got it. Camera cant seem to deal with the colour its a turquiose kinda colour and it comes out either green or blue. It'll be getting chrome 27" classic looking wheels, I've the back bought but just tracking down a front.

You can always use 700c with fat tyres and mudguard to fill up the clearance nicely.

Anyone know what this maker's lug stamp is? I seem to remember it being brought up before on here. I've searched but can't find it.

Looks sick,
but why do you need an EBB with a derailleur?
Or is it just if you want to run it SS? -
• #32565
So you won't need to worry about getting the disc pad lining up to the disc perfectly.
-
• #32566
Surely that is down to getting the correct disk mount?
-
• #32567
it looks like with those bars all your weight will be over the front wheel, what's it like in the rough?
-
• #32568
So you won't need to worry about getting the disc pad lining up to the disc perfectly.
But it isn't being run SS so that wouldn't be a problem anyway?
Sorry if i've missed something this is confusing me -
• #32569
you don't need an EEB with a derailleur so you haven't missed anything. The frame presumably has an EBB so it can be run SS or geared.
Saying that, the EBB does offer some flexibility on BB height and position as a bonus!
-
• #32570
It is useful to have EEB when you're running a disc brake set-up beside the option of running SS.
forget that geared doesn't need that much tension, whoop!

sillee squabs, it is so you have a choice to run single speed

Ok.
I was just thinking that the added expense/complexity of an EBB wouldn't be worth it unless you were definitely running it SS...Anyway, nice bike.

Picked up from the post office today, some of the last Veloce UltraTorque cranks, on a nice big discount even though I (and presumably Campagnolo) think the PowerTorque system being introduced for MY2011 on mid-range groupsets is inferior. These will get the UltraTorque Pista treatment, hence the TA Piste ring, and are going on my Hirame

hi
here is my future ride! a handcraft french frame
i just put some casual wheels to look at the shape
the good thing it that its very compact and a little low pro...
Yeah I know Ed, but I've always wanted one and this came up cheap. The seat clamp is super neat, with one side threaded to take the bolt.
Hub is from woodwood industries, it's a bit dated now and needs new bearings.
