  • If you must have gumwalls, something like this would be OK, Con>Door sell em, only £35 each. Hah!

No kevlar though. I'm gonna go for some Veloflex Pave's I think

  • Track rim and you will be using brakes?

Presumably they have no braking surface and are not built for brakes (wall thickness) which may be why they are light, in the same way MTB disc rims are lighter than the version for rim brakes.

You think I don't know that? plus they're the same (or similar) profile as the current rims on the Colnago, also non-machined.

  • Joey baby, your Colnago is top, you do need some proper gumwall action to complete the package, the tyres look fat without the gumwall!

    TNRC soon.

Shame they've changed the beautiful typography on those, the new name 'Master' has a really horrible logo.

Why DO companies always fuck up a great logo?
    NEW

    Old logo

  • Get road-pedals.. Look's or something... :)

  • Not only do the tyres lack tan sidewalls...

    Yeah, needs gummys on there...

gumwalls look shit on high profile mirror polish rims - spoken from experience

  • oooh, contrafuckingversial. You're right. Once you've tried black, you never go back.

  • Dunno mate, with the right tyres, it can look rather spliffing, Kris have some on his (not his in picture).

  • You think I don't know that? plus they're the same (or similar) profile as the current rims on the Colnago, also non-machined.

Sorry, forgot you know everything there is to know. Or you certainly think you do anyway :-)

  • it is a road racing rims after all (clincher an' all).

  • Scorch is roght.
@skully, the naswer to your logo question is of course, the scourge of the West End... wankers who work in marketing!

  • i'll post some pics later on - maybe it was my bad luck with gum wall color (???)

  • @edscoble...
see, that Urban looks fabby, cos the tyres go with the colour of the bike, but gum and pink/purple whateverthehell the Colnago is?
The Yellow/orange/red range, and pink, are the only colours i'd fit black to, and they look shite with amber/honey/tan/gum accessories

  • would rather have a black tyre that gripped well, had decent puncture protection and good ride quality than one with sidewalls the colour of a 70 year old naturists withered penis.

  • Well said that man!

    With TS, you get both.

    Are you sure?

  • it is a road racing rims after all (clincher an' all).

yet it is called a track rim?

Or have you just called it a track rim to sound cooler?

  • Why go to the trouble of making a bike look 'period correct' then spoil it by sticking modern single colour tyres on it?

    This*

*Although Joe did say they're only temporary

  • ^ They are... I know I'll probably p******* tonight on the way home so I'll bin them first chance I get...

  • yet it is called a track rim?

Or have you just called it a track rim to sound cooler?

    It is, but I've seen them used in road bicycle;

  • Sorry, forgot you know everything there is to know. Or you certainly think you do anyway :-)

Does he sound like Gandhi tho?
