News just in, if you've never actually owned a specific frame, you have no say in what happens to it.
Get over it you bunch of moaning minnies.

God, everyone shut up about that pink GT already. It wasn't even the original paint FFS.
It looks bloody good stripped (though I just don't get triple triangles). Ray's build was ace and I told him so at the time, but Richoking's version is also top notch.
Ray's was all NJS stuff whereas Richoking has gone the performance route, with stuff from mostly American manufacturers I.e. truer to the frame anyway.
What a load of bitchy bullshit. These are pushbikes remember.
Is this Bike Radar now!?
Since when one should not give his/her opinion!?
And since when you're the one to dictate what can be said?
Bullshit is you writing these all political correctness but most certainly having your share of laughs as well... don't be an hypocrite man, the bike (apparently) was iconic to a lot of people here, if the new owner decided to do what he did... well, that's fine, it's his bike. Post it in Current Projects, well.... be prepared to hear opinions/ranting/discussions/whateverthefuck! -

Political correctness?! This is bike forum man :/
Current projects can be a fucking bear pit at times, and the new GT owner got some undeserved stick IMO. Yes it was a lovely bike when Ray owned it, but he sold it.
The new owner can do what ever the fuck he wants with it. Its his bike, his money, his taste. Some of the responses here have been properly lame.

• #30010
why'd you fill in the cable routing? Not clear from the pics if there was some functional issue with it.
-
• #30011
It was a mod done by zullini.
I felt that I had to restore her as per the original 1981 catalogueThere were also some holes drilled into the seat tube to rivet an additional bottle cage.
These I filled as well. -
• #30012
got you. most of the time, i'm not a fan of internal routing on traditional frames anyway.
-
• #30013
This variety of internal routing where the pieces of tube can be damaged by accident very easily.(if theres no cable in it)

Got the SR stem and the Hsinlung bars today. Still battling to find a nice Kashimax saddle and white cotton bar wrap.
-
• #30015
Spectacular effort, tarboy... Well impressed... :]
-
• #30016
jambon, before you change stem and all that, I'd recommend you to go to the Bike Whisperer to get your position perfectly dialled before spending money on part.
have you ridden outside the m25 yet?

This year is all about Columbus SL, Shimano 600EX Arabesque and (to be) shiny stainless steel lugs. Unfortunately with the one spare hour I can find each week, this might take a while...

Thanks. I will post pictures once she's complete.
Taken long.
The next two projects are already here and awaiting attention for quite a while.
The E10 '73 Peugeot and a ladies Rudge from the early eighties. -

Would love to get my hands on a KOGA. It came a little later. This is what I like the most about the TEAM.
http://s714.photobucket.com/albums/ww144/tarboystuff/?action=view¤t=DSC007972.jpg It was used by the 7-11 team in 1981.Yup, I've got DA EX7200. Looking for a better crankset and pedals than the ones in hand.

^^ You frame building yourself s.walrus? Be interested to see your progress - I'm half planning on a frame being my summer project (though bigger shed required first...)
I like it. Nice build, rich.
