  • I thought you were getting a German frame Ed and had no money for another one? How come you got the Surly?

A German bike, it's still coming, and the Crosscheck price is too good to miss, especially with headset and BB.

  • i think you're right, only if the wheels are black tho, imo.

the coloured tyres may make it a bit too much, black wheels & rubber would be good, bike is wild enough as it is... and i think it is great.

too bad the belgian guy already sold his carbon super record 11 bits, i can well understand you wanting to put that sort of group on!

  • @buddha fingaz
    awesome dude!
    whats the frame?

Thanks - its a Swobo Sanchez, have had it over a year, its a great (and underrated) frame. Swapped the forks for some blingy Planet X carbon ones though.

  • got the bugger out

nice one ! Thats the post you had at West the one time isn't it ?

Was it a lack of grease or what ?

  • had the post and the saddle in my bag for ages.
lack of re-greasing, after chopping down 3 times to get it the right height.

  • Wooooooo!!! Using the American Classic??

yea it is the one then.

Lesson learnt the hard way about the lack of grease.

  • Been waiting to finish this for a while. Thanks to Arup for building the rear wheel, am very pleased my wheels now match! Got the bars and positioning nicely dialled in, its a beaut to ride.

    Nice!

  • Alex, just about to strip those bars. Any tips? and you Murtle?

  • strip bars are well dodgy...

  • :)

  • all about the white spirit (on your bars, not in the bars)

  • Tynan did a how to on stripping before with his Lo-Pro - hes the expert

  • working on this Koga Miyata Roadrunner

it has nice center pull Shimano Tourney brakes - with a little rack for a handlebar bag attached to the front one - and a crankset I've never seen before, the chainrings and chainguard ring are attached to each other and it has seperate crank arms.

Polished the frame and forks, put on some new bartape and fit the bracket, crankset & brakes today, and found out front tyre needs a bigger tube

  • @ V.V

    Oh yeah!

    Oh and I gots Nitromors.

  • Woohoooooooooo!! This is cool as fuck. It's bubbling!!

  • the bits I bought from The Crane attached to new frame:

Nice! definetly looks better than my BMC. What does it ride like? also where did you get the frame?

  • Ah shit sorry I didn't give you a call earlier Fred, stayed up near Old St.

  • kl man no probs

  • Hubba hubba hubba, got this for cheap, even more impressed that it's virtually unused, bit small for me but it got the right top tube length (56cm).

Love it.. cant wait to see it built up..

  • ^ Chode.

  • Turn out it's too small, seller claim it's 54cm but it's actually 52cm, gah! It's up for grab again.
