  • Not fixed but I have almost finished my latest project...
    Ex Rapha Condor Team Frame
Just need a deda zero 100 stem to finish it off.

Very serious looking. I like it.

  • designed by mike burrow's for giant

@KC sell me the front one

From around the same time he did that strange looking (porn worthy IMHO) TT Giant. Was'nt it?

    pops off to google

  • yup, and the mono fork

  • KC's wheels are the later version.

The 1st edition had Rigida rims (as on the MCR picure), the later version had FIR rims.
Hubs are JoyTech (or Novatec, or all the other names they use).

Indeed it was really amazing to get to unwrap it all and build it, original 1972 inner tubes ftw!

My have to change the brake blocks though, came down the hill this morning with absolutely no stopping power.

I was actually tempted to borrow a spok to put on it, just to take a photo and see the reaction!

    Yeah.

Did'nt mean to imply that the wheels in that pic were the same.

    Just saw this!!

I had a Starnord! This was my first "adult" bike. A touring one, well, kind of touring (very budget parts and frame). I actually still have it. I was quite tall when I was 9, my parents bought me this Starnord bike on a Catalogue called "CAMIF" that was exclusively selling to teachers. I think I never put anymore miles on any of my other bikes, as I kept using it until I finished uni (at 23). Sorry to tell about my boring life but that bike has an emotional connection with me, as you can understand...

I can name what parts are still original, but I changed pretty much everything on it, not for fun, but because they needed replacing (wheels, BB, headset and fork after an epic crash that deserve to be described on the fail thread or drawn in the collision thread, etc...), and learned bike basic mechanics with it... I broke the rear dropout on the drive side because I was carrying too much stuff on the back carrier, including heavy friends of mine... I badly rewelded them myself at my school workshop, but it kept breaking again until my dad got a friend of his to do a proper job. I also has been repainted a few times...

It is still at my parents, heavy as hell, gas pipe tubbing, shit parts, I don't really like using it anymore (frame is 55 I think, I need a 60!) but I find it hard to throw it away...

Thanks for bringing me these memories! Your one looks of a better range from Starnord... at the time, I would have been so jealous of your center pull brakes!!

    Loic

  • Stripped the dog bike back to bare metal (for now) fitted some chrome 700c forks and a cheep set of rims. We like:

  • Is that the right size for the dog? The dog looks concerned.....

  • Panaracer Pasela TG, managed to get the last 2 in 32c, was going to get the 28c but they run out, 32c is perfect, super comfortable.

Who did you get to fit them for you Ed?

    Your mother.

    Hahahahaha

    Whats the wheelset?

  • just got myself an '86 tarck frame from the USSR. (with lovely cinelli tarck barz)

    need:

    seatpost (size tbc)
    saddle (probably brooks)
    cranks
    BB

will photo when I get back!

  • Pistanator: I think that seatpost maxcrowe was talking about is the one he passed on to me, and it doesn't fit the frame it came with (and I'm going campag, so...) , so if you're intrested, give me a shout. BTW it's a 26.8... I think...
    Fuck it i'll pm you

And as it's page 531, this is finished, for now, excuse the silver seatpost. And the picture.

  • epic gear. i'd love to give that a go on rollers.

What size shoes do you take? It has Ritchey pedals, which don't work with normal SPD cleats.

how do i make pictures smaller?

  • @ atomcf: that photo of your bike looks like it was taken in the same garden where the pic og maxcrowe's canonndale was taken...?
