  • tilover- what stem have you got there, is it adjustable? realy nice bike, id like one of those planet x frames at some point!

  • dislike stem.

  • Awesome bike tilover, the silver spokes make it for me (and normally I would have said black ones).

@Borntoolate - I hated black components before I joined this forum, now my bike is covered in them!

  • Think you should do the forks too. And maybe the seat post.

It was worth the effort, I like the hidden brake cable look.

bored and staying late in the office waiting for the printer to fix itself i found some black vinyl and decided to stealthify the planet x - cant see any bubble but it's dark, when the sun rises it will no doubt look rubbish

p.s also managed to cut down the bars and install some champ grips (near impossible to get a brake outer underneath the grip but after 20 minutes i managed it!)

  • NOS tommasini diamante!!!

That would have gone perfectly with this

i have an almost complete c-record group for it with sheriffstars and delta brakes, gonna look pretty nice i think :)
i will make some pics when i am done building, need a 25mm seatpost for it

  • @Nuknow,
dont want to know where you got that photo from, seek help, please.

  • yeah the parts look pretty sweet sadly the guy who i'm building it for has no use for these bits so looks like i'll be stripping them. any info you have would be sweet thanks

    @noorkoiv.
Woooo look at them brakes!!! Modelled on a 1930s Jeay brake. Not quite the full-on aero nastyof thed Dura Ace DX in the same year. I think its 1982, but will go look in my Berto Data Book and check. I think itheyre illustrated in 'the Dancing Chain', not a book i suppose many fixie riders have, or need!

  • Look what nny brought me back from Oz! Black on black... Can't believe I only thought about taking the 'r' in 'friend' out after I'd stuck it down... Fail... Looks pretty sweet tho'...

  • sweet!

  • bit optimistic tho no?

    Help!

  • bit optimistic tho no?

I agree, it's a complete lie... Nice sentiment tho'...

  • I thought it said "anyone on two wheels is a fruit".

  • Oh, Ed...

  • tilover- what stem have you got there, is it adjustable? realy nice bike, id like one of those planet x frames at some point!

love this stem:it's very very adjustable/angle/length/height, it's a syntace VRO and syntace bars

    Nice.
Looks like Syntace VRO adjustable (no, I'm sure).
Most popular stem in Germany EVER.
    MTB, city, trekking.
99% of all German bikes have XT rear mech and Syntace VRO.
Also in carbon by the way.

  • Oh, Ed...

now how fruity does that sound?

  • Fruit - lovely frame!

Tilover - good you've found a sparks tape in your office and not post-it notes to stealth it

Joe - make sure you are ready to accept spontaneous hugs from fellow cyclists

  • I thought it said "anyone on two wheels is a fruit".

actually, how comes it dosent say "anyone on two wheels is a mate"?
    from Oz right?

  • when i got home from the worlds today my wife had made this:

    win

yup, prettier version than that though, it has an elliptical shim in the steerer clamp so you can rotate it and change the angle of the stem. - means its mega chunky and reminds me of old klein stems or headshock units - suits the fat frame nicely i think

i also have a syntace F99 mega light stem on my singular - really good quality stuff and a little less common than thomson over here (which is nice)

    :)
