  • so do baby blue and missmatched pink ones.

    Huh? Mismatched pink?
    Cuntflap.

  • Oh yeah, haven't posted a photo yet. This is my current project;

    that awesome Max

  • So do tiny frames (@ G)

    Amen.

  • I'm just over the fucking moon that I finally have my favourite frame of all time AND it fits me, seat tube and top tube.

  • nice on Max ! it looks pristine, and it's quite funny that your dream bike happens to be the only bike I've seen that actually fits you. Well done and i hope to see it soon in teh Westies.

  • If you're there tomorrow, you will see it!

  • Oh and just for the record, for those who don't know, this is an 18 year old frame. How is that for good condition?!

  • And it's still got bottle cage bolts

No doubt your mate recon will be selling it on here sometime soon :)

  • And it's still got bottle cage bolts

    such a whingy bastard!

nice set on Sunday by the way. very funky...... but there was a distinct lack of strippers present at the venue.

Can't tell if you're taking the piss or just saying how after 18 years they are still there. They look like they've never been removed, nor has the drilling in the rear bridge been used. The frame has only been raced on a velodrome.

    ha!

    Mint!

Having said that all track frames that have been used only on Track should look like that, apart from the crashed ones..

The main doris(the owner of the strip club) never turned up so all the others bailed

    ha!

Track bikes don't have bottle cages

  • This one does. They are there (along with the drilled bridge) for the option of adding a bottle cage, a road fork and brakes for using the frame for winter training on the roads.

  • Looks nice in silver

  • Is it scratched at all Max?

    BTW, please do it justice!

  • Lovely frame Max. I'm really pleased you got it and am delighted to hear it fits perfectly. Bring it down HH some day and we can compare Cannondale track frames. :-)

It was very generous of DMCZone to bring it back from the US too. He's a gentleman and a scholar.
That said, I was about to put a price on his head if he'd sold you those Shamals though. :-)

  • Its just too big. Huge frames look odd.

it looks in proportion when max is standing next to it though

  • Wow, that's gorgeous, Max. Such a cool looking frame.

No scratches, just a couple of tiny chips to the paint. It is in great condition.

I've already built it up, and I'm sure I've done it justice (there's not much you can do really, I only like plain parts and I've dressed it in silver with black contact points). As I said earlier pictures will follow when I get drops on it.

As soon as I can afford drops and the weather looks up I'll be down the track on it.

DMC is a gentleman, couldn't have put it better myself.

Don't worry about the Shamals, they are beautiful wheels but not really 'my thing' ;-)

Yep. Nice to meet you today, Fred.

  • Man that's fantastic to see a frame that fit you perfectly (that if the saddle and bar heigh is idea), great film and top mark for DMC for helping.

I think you'll find it a bit of a shock going from a comfortable Surly to a super-stiff alu track frame now!

  • @max likewise, i generally don't like people taller than me, but i'll let you off

Saddle and stem height is about the same as in the picture. I bought the frame knowing it would fit which was nice.

It's even more of a fantastic feeling, Ed. I rode it all day today for work and I am extremely impressed with it. These frames really are as stiff as people say and surprisingly it wasn't as 'harsh' as I had expected. Even with a stripped saddle.
