horses for courses.
and three brakes give you the ultimate control than just the two (especially for slowing downhill).

this was the burls until about 4 hours ago, i bought these wheel today, but now the front one's knackered so i'll probably sell the rear one (used once) to help fund something else. forks are also cracked just under the brake drilling. I'm contemplating ti forks

be very careful about ti forks... do your research as there a lot of flexy noodle ti forks out there - i've owned a few!
did you crash?

Sweet! I saw this on the LSF blog.
Im a fan of ricky's work he's building some beautiful frames. You gonna be at Polo tomorrow?
sadly not, i am wheel-less at the moment (sold to sam) and i haven't even got round to ordering my carbon ones yet due to lack of cash... + i am staying in waiting for a bed delivery. (woop)

did you crash?
a car changed lane into me into a taxi.
would you say the ti forks are shit? or just too flexy? if not i might go for a steel fork
-
• #21623
Which Evans workshop is that?
apparently the only one with windows
-
• #21624
I cannot see myself going back to steel fork after riding with a carbon fork, Crane, think it might be idea to borrow a steel fork first before buying one?

well i'm using my kona p2's atm, but they make it feel like a fixed mtb before any thing else. i dont even know anyone with a 1/18 steel fork that isnt a trick fork. anyway im still leaning towards a custom ti fork from burls, so we'll see
hi, obviously not as sophisticated as the majority of the builds on here, but last weeks jumble enabled me to finish off my Moser SS. I'm pretty chuffed with it. will be having a leftover parts clearout soon. also looking for some 7 speed thumbshifters for gf's flat bar. cheers Iain
