  • Lovely! You've got so many nice bikes fruit, wanna sell some?

  • anybody knowwhat groupset and year the derailleur and shifter levers are from?

    Late 80s Triomphe

These levers are period correct and yours for £20, non-concealed cable routing which might explain why the previous owner swapped what were presumably the OE Campag levers for slightly later Shimano 105

  • thanks for the information and the offer, i think i will look for another complete bike with a record group and will put that on this frame. (In Holland all it takes is some patience and you can find a full campag record bike for between a 100 and 150euro)

i am selling the grey Gazelle soon and the Diamant the others i will keep

  • Not really, it's like saying it's useless riding brakeless if you have holes for both front and rear brakes

    ... yyyyeah. sure.

  • How does one tell the difference between victory and triopmhe?

I wuv the 110 BCD thing.

  • the ones on ed's condor

    Modolo brake levers, generally not comfortable for everyone, but I find it pretty comfortable (mine's defintely in better condition than this);

  • How does one tell the difference between victory and triopmhe?

I wuv the 110 BCD thing.

Victory cranks have thicker spider arms. Various other minor differences in detail and finish, although some components were common across the two groups.

It's not 110mm, it's 116mm, which makes getting replacement rings a proper PITA.

  • Sorry for the stupid question... but I can't seem to upload pics on here. Can someone talk me through it? Pretty please!

  • Oooh 116. Awsome.

And thanks for the info on the difference. I knew it would be little little things.

have you tried using them out of the saddle yet?

a guy at my work has some i found them very bad on the tops of my hands when out of the saddle

  • Good for hanging shopping bags on though

  • GH1 in all its anti porn glory!

    Current Projects:

Fix rear drops of GH2 and sort out C'dale

What the Basement storage Workshop looks like:

I forgot to add that ASM is my actual hero.

  • not much space left to work in :)

  • I'm leaving the country for 3 weeks, so its ok. after that, I have to sort it out good and proper!
Shelves and wall mounts I think...
Or I'll just move out, 5 months of forced living at home is getting to me.

The Track Tandem's Parts have just arrived- so will have to start on finishing that when I get home.

  • @ soperRiva*

    I love your c'dale track,
i know some people think it's a little on the chubby side, but yeah, i'm just saying it's lovely!

  • I forgot to add that ASM is my actual hero.

    Why's that?!

    I mean, thanks! :D

  • Picked up a frame today, getting new paint a classical Campa components.

  • Not really a project as such, but I'm off to Brighton tomorrow and back on Monday, tad over 80 miles each way (route im taking). Gave the bike a quick check over and put on the Mavic Cosmic wheels for the ride- haven't riden these yet. Bike is getting pretty dirty after 5x commutes.

Bike will be having look pedals, carbon post, stem and handlebars, along with carbon ISIS Cranks and BB for summer. Oh and ill be upgrading to Ultegra or DA brakes when i have some time.

  • Why's that?!

    I mean, thanks! :D

because of some posts on this thread recently....

gahh my front wheel and its lack of color matching is doing my head in.
When I get back, Fluoro Green Spok will rise like a phoenix, from the ashes of death.

  • carbon ISIS Cranks

Noooooooooo! Go external bearing. Replacement ISIS BBs will have just about disappeared from the face of the earth just when you need a new one. Oh, and avoid carbon stems too, that's one place where nobody has really made a better product in carbon than any number of generic Taiwan 3D forged alloy units.

  • +1 on the ISIS vs External Bearing BBs.

my father's old bike used to have them, so I know it's fine out of the saddle, i preferred it to my Weinmann whose shape is similar.
