Picked this up today. It's going to be butchered and re welded as a cannondale track replica. £29 well spent.
I honestly can't believe how light it is!
Instead of butchering a nice frame, why not put gears on it? -

it only cost him 29 quid

I'm looking forward to delivery of this flying scot clubmans road/ track frame. its going to be my first fixed build in the new year. the seat stays are a bit pitted - my friend Martin had it re-enamelled mid 70s and then never rebuilt it. We reckon lugs are nervex but does anyone know its age or can explain the big pointy fork dropouts! BB is for cottered steel cranks, I wonder if standard Raleigh roadster ones can be used?
/attachments/19293Hi,
I recently bought a '59 wally green frame from hilary and having looked at your pics, I can definitely say that it has the same lugs.
They are identical (apart from the top of the fork stays and the rear dropouts) they have the same scrolling and pointwork, the bottom bracket on mine is stamped ''nervex 59-3064-022-E38'', so presume them to be the same.
Hope that is of assistance. The frame is sweet and would have had really, really tight clearances with english 27'' wheels (which would be correct) though with a 700 wheel on the front it gives a finger (12-15mm), however with the correct 27'' wheel the clearance is about 3 mm...
which excites me....;D..
which now begs the question, what is the availabilty of nice 27'' rims and tyres?

Colour looks like 1st year Kwantum hallen - Yoko - Decosol team from
19941984.
Of course, it could be a respray, but probably not if it was Jan Raas'. It was his 1st year on Colnago.winter project - colnago mexico pista to fitted with campagnolo pista
anyone know what year this frame/fork might be? i saw one on ebay but it had a newer fork
cheers

Finally finished my 100% Inauthentic 80's British Eagle respray + build. Stem, levers and bars are just a stopgap until I get some new ones after xmas.
Inspired by dogsballs beautiful cyclone. Cheers to pajamas for the cranks/pedals and hilary for the rear wheel.

....look no need to quote pics.....
that is such a charming bicycle, well done. what size are the wheels?
something inside me shudders a little when i see a quick release lever on the drive side, dont know why.
i think the chainset looks fine. (plus so much less stress) -

re. that cannondale, there's a bike I see every day locked at work blue frame with identical dropouts and graphics but it's 650c and looks really odd. Have you chucked wheels on it?
