I'm intrigued by the double lever - single brake setup.Does that little (well, quite large) gadget just hang about on the cabling, or do you attach it to the frame somehow? Got any detailed pictures of it?
Cheers

Aye, the seat post insertion point is pretty much identical, same height, just about the same chainstay length, same seat tube angle.
Then at the front- well, the handlebars will be parallel to the top of the down tube on my Fuji.
Low low low.
And I'm going to put drops on it...

maxcrowe, I'm probably going to take your advice. Luckily I kept the stumpy stem so if/when I get a 58 again, if it hurts my back I'm totally going to 'dis' you. Online.

Forks arrived... think i'll be ok steerer-wise
For the information of any tall forumengers who need crabon gigant-o-forks, options appear limited to Wound-up, Serotta and the Alpha-Q Zpro pictured. All are available with 450mm steerers, but the later is half the price of the other two.

You literally have more steerer than fork right there.

Do you have to have an actual vintage bicycle? If so I'm out :(
you don't necessary need a rare Taylor, cinelli, hetchins etc. Just get an old road bike for cheap, tweak it up and ride l'eroica!

@ braker: Jesus! :o
Don't like that MASH Cinelli I'm afraid, another poor build IMHO... -

Nearly finished....
Replaced/fitted - campag' track wheels, brooks saddle, brooks bartape (+black shoe polish), tyre, Campag' record pedals (free off another bike),Campag' toe clips (free) cinelli stem badge (original had been taken off by previous owner).Cost of build (inc, postage) = about 650 quid all in.Date was confirmed by a girl at Gazelle through the Gazelle website which was nice.
Abit much I know but I did it over the space of 3-4 months with the proceeds of a tax rebate...
Thanks, Rosmal :)
