Dia Compe hubs and Carnival cranks
If that sort of thing floats your boat...:)
Those Carnivals are really nice but the Sug 75 with old style ring looks more classic on a classic type frame and I got a very very good deal on the 75's so no point looking elsewhere.
For those interested the frame has a mix of road and track geometry. The BB height is just on the limit for Manchester Velo specs so I can use it on a track but otherwise more of a road geometry for comfort. I just hope the proportions look right as it'll be quite a small frame, roughly a 52".
My budget is tight on this which is partly why I've compromised on a few parts such as the hubs. The Miche's look nice and the rear is single sided. At some point in the future I might build another set of wheels (I'm building them myself so at least I've done something on the bike!!) with better hubs (Goldtecs if they do silver) as funds allow. These'll get me through till the summer at least

My Mercian had Road/Track geometry - do a search - that look great on a 55cm frame

Actually I've just thought it might be better to rebuild the hubs with ceramic bearings before I build the wheels then I don't need to build another set!!

finepics, that frame is gonna be lovely. love the colour combo, an my absolute favourite is stainless / brushed downtube decails.

Just finished this for my mate. Built out of a Carerra Subway Zero and a battered old Raliegh town bike.
I know the geometry is slack but that's what he wanted. I've got a Raleigh road bike frame in exactly the same size but he wanted the town bike.
After floggin all the unused bits from the Carrera and buyin a few other bits I reckon it cost about £150ish to build. Cheaper than an off the peg at least.

Here it is in road mode:
Just missing a chain and it'll be on the road.
When the budget permits, early next year, I'll be replacing the cheap rear weal with a Phil kiss off disc/fixed on Mavic open pro (to match the front) and putting a disc brake on the back.
The rear tyre on the pic with the 29er wheels is just a shave too large for the rear clearance, so looks like I'll have to order a 1.8 rear before I can take it offroad.

Building up this nice frame. So far all parts have been sourced from LFGSS (apart from hubs and tyres).

Love the chunky tires and that classic paintjob. It's a surprisingly good mix. What handlebars are those?

Yep, it's 1 1/8th.
The bars are On One Midge's.
The amount of clearance with 700x23 wheels is amazing, I can literally fit my fist between the wheel and fork crown.

Just picked this up:
A Langdale frame (local bike shop) in 653,
Shimano 600 groupset,
Mavic rear on Open 4 CD
Nice campag seat postRides very smoothly, very different to the track bikes.
Will probably be swapping out a few bits after christmas.
Stunning pieces ^^; ) well done
