Is LFGSS just the trendy end of C+?
not sure about trendy..
pistanator does ride a marin town bike, it goes well with his beard and donkey jacket look.you didn't really think this forum was full of young hipsters wearing skinny jeans and skidding around the east end did you?

That's a pretty unusual design huh? Would it be leaping massively conclusions to think he (or a colleague or whatever) might have made mine too?
Any other frame builders using the triple triangle design (apart from GT)?
Um, yes, basically, it would be a pretty massive conclusion.
Broakland, 3Rensho to name a couple.
And KHS, Thanet, Bill Tilston, Hetchins, Neil Orrell (see my bike) - loads really.

unfortunately don't have a newer picture at the minute...
(and yes the photo is reverse so the crank look slike it's on the left not the right)
since pic, Seatpost isn't some ridiculous height anymore and new saddle and grips.
Just trying to figure out.... Mavic CXP 12s or Campag Omega V sections for my wheel upgrade? -
• #19060
Fair enuf, I'm pretty chuffed if any of those names listed might have made my frame, happy days.
Cheers!

Finally got a digital camera so can at last post up some project pics. Joy.
Fixed hack built from the bones of Tomisatos old bike
Diavolo with mostly shite parts with the exception of wheels(Ma2 on Dura ace/105)
To do - replace frame due to multiple polo wounds sustained in its previous like. New cranks and pedals would be nice as well.
Got the frame to get me out of a tight spot, grown really attached to it so it'll be a shame to see the old girl retired.
Tourer
Surly lht, brixtons cycles built. Utter mechanical perfection.
To do - jol straps, new tyres, champagne corks to replace crappy brooks ones, loads more touring kit.
Tandem
Peugeot Grand Touring. Best ebay purchase ever, stronglight and suntour throughout. Mercian built rear wheel, mafac canti and arai drum brakes. New paselas, cables/outers, brake pads, tape, clips, straps and chains.
To do - renew all bearings starting with the pedal bearing my stoker killed the other day, permanent saddles, fit racks, mudguards and lighting.
Girlfriends bike
49cm Cilo racer in aelle tubing, shimano 600 gearing, capag rims.
To do - Find nos cilo fork and paint to match, find atax stem and cut down to fit tiny steerer tube(hence hi-rise bars in pic), replace current bars with deda4girls(when i finish stripping ano), jol straps.
Road project
Matching purple/white Cilo road frame in cromor tubing. Nos Shimano 600ax throughout(if i can find a nos headset, white brake levers, bottle and cage)
To do - finish groupset, build wheels when i decide on rims, choose saddle.
Paint looks a little blue in the pic but its cadburys purple in the flesh, Liz's is more aubergine.
Matching racing bikes ftw.
Currently building Liz's first fixed/ss at the mo, but no pics til complete
n+1

^^ JD had an atax when I was last looking for one, or ask Happy Wally at HH bike jumbles.

• #19063
Ta very much snowy_again, will hunt em dem leads at some point.
The cilo is going to go into hibernation soon when the ss is built to reemerge next summer with all improvements complete(i hope) so don't neet an atax right now but they come up often enough. Also might a 600 if i can find an 80mm one. Gonna do some practice stem chops first i think... -

And does using a front brake or clinchers make a track bike a hybrid?
My concession to winter is a bracket for my Vision 1 front light on my front handlebars (that one Scott reccomended) and I'm about to fit a light bracket to my seatpost.
I wear lycra when it rains anyway so I don't see the point in mudguards. And they do look cack. HTFU London ;)
By that logic, we mostly mix track bikes with the street in mind, and many ride them to work.
Does this mean we all ride hybrid commuters?
