  • Mudguards are the essence of 2009 ... Next year is the year of the mudflap. Its gonna be all about how big your flaps are.

    Tell me about it!!

I finally installed the Gilles Berthoud on the Mercian... Quite pleased with the result.
That the latest state of the Mercian and probably it will remain like this, so I can issue pictures in current project...

I have a B17 champion narrow that would colour match better the bar tape, but I like the fact that the bike is not a advertisment for Brooks (I love Brooks though...). The mudflap is DIY...

Thought it was looking pretty good, apart from the rear rim. I changed it back when i was racing on it and didnt keep the original. its an Araya Aero2 24 spoke and im trying not very succesfully to find another. I used to get people always wanting to buy the handlebars, they`re nitto Aerodynamic.

I bought it in the early nineties from a wholesaler who didnt seem to know much about it, but reckoned it was a show bike from the late eighties and might be Japanese. It was plain white with no makers marks or transfers (the Venom decals is just the respray). It has suntour dropouts and suntour superbe pro group.

If anyone out there has any ideas as to what it might be id love to know. i didnt take much interest in it when i was racing it but now i think its a great looking thing.

Yes, it was custom built. 57x57 with 75 seat and 75 head tube. Fits me perfectly (as you might expect)

All campag bits, not a full group, just each of the bits I like the best :-)

Thank you all, I'm pretty happy with it.
