  • Nice one Pifko, matches your avatar too :)

  • This is my fixed gear bicycle. It has a 531 frame, brazed up freehub, mtb chain line and rusty spokes. Turned the spacers myself, total cost £98. In the spring I might get some better wheels and cranks - but then I might not. It's much better to ride than to look at.

    BMC. Fin.

ha the bmc race master im getting one of those too, what group have you got on there?

  • Hahaha you bought Kingcutter's?!? Nice one.

I wanted it but alas it was too small...

ye i spoke to him about getting first dibs as soon as i saw it, hopefully the weather will be nice enough to get out and ride it this weekend

A mix of Record and Chorus, which I scoured for cheap. Fortunatley got the last XL available on ChainReaction!

It really is nice to ride. Just having trouble fitting rear light(s) to it for the darker evening rides due to the aero shaped ST and seatpost! :)

have you ridden the Pro machine? that is very nice too, but not quite as stiff, i preferred it, but that is a lot more expensive.

nice build, could do with better wheels though :)

  • Eddie that Nag is gonna be hot bro.

    (stop with the teasing!!)

Could do with a better paid job too!

I haven't ridden the Pro machine, fortunatley...You getting the 2009 Racemaster? I think Flickwg has one if you need any details.

  • probably the 2009, evans is now the UK distributor so we have many in my size and i cant test ride them to my hearts content, so i will probably go with the better deal in the end

    welcome.

Thank you, kind of you to say so. I was expecting to get slaughtered by an angry mob of metropolitan bike snobs, slightly disappointed, still - early days.

What's the SS MTB in the background?

  • What's the SS MTB in the background?

Bog std. Genesis IO. Had a bit of cycling renaissance in the last 6 months - gone from "person who rides bicycle to work" to "person who rides bicycle needlessly and frequently".

  • high mountain bike five

  • At home. I managed to get the yellow 500ml pot for 20p at B&Q in the reduced section - bargain

Congratulations, that looks professional. Have you checked, double-checked, triple-checked and laid awake at night worrying about whether the lacquer will lay atop the paint OK?

  • just got back from l'eroica and my parcel was waiting for me.... only a sneak peak till the frame gets stripped but clearances looks sweeet

  • The weathers getting shit so finally admitted I need a mudguard. You cant make them look good, so I didn't bother..

    works fine

Its so shit, it actually looks good!

Leave it there for the summer.

  • Just found this is in the street*

Some kind of 1970s touring bike I guess. No braise-ons for the cabling but lots for front and back racks, dynamo. Frame is nearly spotless, few scrathces on the decals but sound apart from that. Mud guards look in really good condition. Old leather saddle - see branding detail. Not heard of the tubing, guess its own brand. Been looking for a bigger frame to try out having risers instead of bullbars so this will do. Will keep you updated.

Cobbled a beast together for fun today. Used bits off these:

Really fun and smooth to ride. Strange having such an upright position and the non power stance makes skid stopping interesting. Needs some big fat tyres though...
