i still cant believe they put car body filler over the welds.
any luck getting it off yet?
I did the same with my Fort track frame when I repainted it... (Which after about a year is still not finished properly but I'm psyching myself up to finish it off properly and get my bike sorted soon!)

@ DMC quality way to show your bike. top marks.
Thanks again everyone.
With so many beautiful builds on the forum lately, I wanted to do something a little different.
Hopefully the creatives here approve, even though I suck at airbrushing.

Just dropped it off with some fella(thanks for the number Dammit) who's gonna polish it up. He said it'll be no problem to get it off and he'll try and smooth out the welds. Pick it up Saturday :-)

@ Pistanator, what's the deal with the body filler? Will the frame be structurally fine once you remove the filler?
-
• #16066
Filler is just there to hide the welds, has no bearing on the frames structure at all.
Word. -

Work in progress. Fixed-singlespeed flip flop (although I doubt I will use the singlespeed - beginning to wish I'd bought a fixed-fixed)
Currently struggling to work out what to do about grips. Really like the anodised straight bar*, so feel like it would be a bit rude to cover it up with grips. On the other hand, don't want to lose too much control / comfort... Current options:
1) Leave as is with no grips
2) Transparent grips
3) Do something funky (homemade) with some offcuts of blue leather (if I can find some)
Thoughts?(* not as nice as the lino ones, but a helluva lot cheaper)

If you want blue just get some transparent blue Champs and be done with it;

I picked up this practically unused Vigorelli F & F from my LBS for £175.
I just need a front caliper that fits and a new set of wheels, these are borrowed off my other bike, i'm thinking lower profile black rims.
I'll probably change the stem to a Thomson Elite. -
