Luckily I'm comically hard so shouldn't be a problem. (I'm not and I will change it soon).

I like the look of these, I've been tentatively thinking about consolidating some bikes and this is on my list along with possibly the r2 road version.
what size is this one? I seem to recall kinesis have slightly unconventional sizing compared to some brands maybe? -

Clean lines and looks very comfortable!

I've yet to give it a proper ride but first impressions are good. I ended up riding it for a few hours for work today after I managed to fuck my commuter/beater up. It was surprisingly quick on tarmac, very comfortable as well (in terms of both the fit and the squish from the big tyres).
I've not ridden a Kinesis before so not sure what their sizing is usually like. This is a 54 and fits me well at about 172cm. I'm usually somewhere between a 52 and a 54. -

bigger cassette
With same rear mech ? If yes, could you please post an update when done ?
I have the same mech but long cage on my commuter but I trashed it and I just bought a short cage without noticing. I have 32t max cog / 42t mono ring for info, trouble free when using long cage. I know short or long cage don't affect max cog size but you never know with bike stuff.. -

I suspect I'll probably need a new mech as well!

11spd or 10spd?
Can always use 9 speed shimano mtb mechs with 10 speed shimano road shifters for a larger range etc
-
• #132384
Does 9s mtb mech will work with recent mtb triggers ? Like deore m6000 triggers
-
• #132385
11 speed!
-
• #132386
Nope, only old 10 speed road shifters / bar end shifters etc
Bar end shifters can be turned to thumbies and still work fine :)

Is that true? Does that include 10 speed GRX? Is there a 9 speed shimano mtb mech with larger capacity than a grx 10sp mech?
Top sprocket: Max. 11T/Min. 11T
Low sprocket: Max. 36T/Min. 32T
Total capacity: 41T -

True but doesn't include GRX or Tiagra 4700 10 speed shifters as they have different pull ratio.
I have Deore 9-speed Rd and 11-42 cassette. B-screw inverted to get more capacity.
26-36 in the front. Tiagra 4600 brifters.I will change that setup to 9 speed XTR Rd and 11-36 cassette sometimes soon.

Grimly completed this rat/franken/pub bike project despite losing interest about 2 mins into the build. There’s bits of a Grisley, Gary Fisher, GT and who knows what else on there. Who’d have thought it, but it’s actually heaps of fun. Pictured with the latest in Lidl bikepacking swag.

Here's the longest lasting setup.
I'm currently tinkering with the bike, 650b conversion and changing the drops to Nitto Bullmoose.
shitty indoors pic because there's a thunderstorm.

Does anyone have a zipp quickview computer mount? The one which replaces the faceplate on zipp stems. If so, did it come with a Hammerhead computer insert that you're not using? Hmu

Got a good deal on a Ghibli recently. The frame it's destined for is still at least a week away from escaping the clutches of the Italian and British postal services and customs, so while I wait impatiently for it to arrive I thought I'd test the assertion that rear disc wheels make nearly any bike metal or plastic look faster, even when they're stationary.
Here it is on 3 of my bikes, and yes I think they all look faster than they did before, but will look slower again as soon as I climb aboard.

Looks promising! 28T is almost comically small on a grav bike though
